The fact that I could bring my puppy was a bonus. Although we had to keep him inside for the period the worker repaired walls, it was a bit difficult. And there is no real privacy when sitting outside.
Doreen was the perfect hostess! The place was clean and tidy and had everything needed. Very nice swimming beach not far from the unit with a "tide pool". The complex's swimming pool is easily accessible and safe.

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay with Brian and Doreen as hosts. The apartment is well located within walking distance of the swimming beach. A sea pool was a pleasant surprise, especially for our little girl. The complex also has a nice big swimming pool where we cooled off and played several times. Close to everything and walking distance to the beach. Value for stay! Only 1 problem we have to consider: there are no inverters or generator if power is down! So make sure you take enough recharging kits with you, as well as lighting!
The host was the coolest. I will book there anytime.
The beds were very hard and the main bedroom bed was very uncomfortable with springs making noises.
There was no shelter or garage for your vehicle, standing in the wind and weather. Upon our arrival, the bedding was washed (grease stains and dog hair found on the bed). There is only one shower and if one person has showered the water is cold then you wait for the water to warm up so that the next person can shower. There weren't enough glasses, we went and bought them ourselves. There are no decent pots, when we wanted to cook we had to borrow a bigger pot from the people next door. The place is not 300 m from the sea as they say, it is further. You have no view of the sea, it's between buildings. There's a gas stove, on our last night the gas ran out, so when we left in the morning we couldn't make any breakfast or coffee.
Home away from home. Very peaceful and private. Loved the ocean and Villa del Sol 8 itself. Clean and comfortable.
Everything was very good and communication was good.
The unit is beautifully furnished and spacious, and Wi-Fi and DStv are an added bonus. The load shedding factor was taken care of and sufficient lighting was available, we could read quite comfortably. Highly recommend this unit.
Doreen and Brian are very considerate and it was a very nice visit. We will definitely go back again! Villa de Sol 8 is very neat. We had a really nice stay. It just felt like home. I would suggest it to anyone. We will definitely stay there again!
Well equipped, beautiful set up.
Villa del Sol 8 place is at a perfect location, very easy to get around with public transportation and walking distance to awesome bars and restaurants, 3 minutes to the beach. The place is great, very clean and has everything you need. Doreen was very helpful and friendly since the beginning, available at all times whenever I had any questions. She even baby sat my 3 month old lovely daughter. She is a super host! I totally recommend Villa del Sol 8.
Villa del Sol was from arrival to depature just wonderful. We felt welcome from the first moment. Doreen went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Every need was met. We had a wonderful experience. We had our privacy but also felt the warmth of being welcome. Villa del Sol is to us surely the best place to stay when you visit the South Coast. Walk distance from the beach with all the comforts of your own home. And peace and quiet. Safe and managers/owners that really care about their guests. Definitely a place we will return to.
Very hospitable and tidy accommodation - value for money.
Doreen was in contact with us from the beginning and tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The other tenants in the complex were friendly and it felt like our own place.

The living comfort was excellent, beautifully finished. It's neat, clean, comfortable and fully equipped. All the basic necessities were available. I would definitely recommend it! The hostess was hospitable, helpful and so friendly. We couldn't ask for better!
Nice place.
The stay was alright the place is peaceful and all but I didn't like how we were hurried to check out, but the actual check out time as stated on the website is 12 pm so Doreen, the owner, wanted us out by 10 as she had other people coming and what's worse she said on Saturday that we can leave at whatever time on Sunday and showed me where to leave the keys, Sunday came all that changed and I felt out of place as we had an early morning outing hoping to be back by 12 and take out things and leave.
When we were on our way back to Johannesburg, the owner apologized for forgetting to turn on the hot water. The accommodation itself is very nice and clean and I would always recommend it, but the fact that there is a beachfront in the last photo in the ad is misleading and will anger many visitors.
Safety, peaceful, romantic. Many toiletries provided.
Will definitely recommend.
