It was a fresh start from hectic long work hours.
This is a place I would go to every time I want a peace of mind.
We booked to avoid new years eve noise and fireworks in the city. And we got just that. Peace.
Stay was great and really remote!
It was a very very nice stay. The atmosphere made me not even realize I was there for work. I would definitely do it again for vacation.
Fridge was not on when we got there, power trips repeatedly on the lights and no mirror in the bathroom. Otherwise very clean and tidy.
Sink in bathroom ripped out of the wall. The next day it was fixed again. The lights also did not work properly during load shedding, but the staff fixed it.
Interesting place just outside Polokwane. It's just like camping but without your own tent. Do take camping chairs and a table with you, because there are none in the units. The showers also need a little attention. We as a family had to drive to Polokwane and back a few times, and with the dirt road the place is just too far.
From the moment we set our feet on the lodge we only experienced excellent customer service. The management staff Lucas and James made our stay even more memorable by attending to any of out needs that they could assist with. Even arranged a special supper at a very reasonable price on our last evening. Thank you very much for the surprise. The cabin was clean and had all the niceties for self-catering stay. The staff that services the cabin were very friendly as well as the other staff that we came in contact with. What a pleasure to hear the lions in the evening in the back ground. It was also nice to see the lion cubs and my granddaughter love to go and say Good Morning and Good Night to the cubs. The only issue was the dirt road getting to the lodge, the first day was not a problem but the last couple of days due to rain the dirt road got a bit bad. On the last day we found a short road that was in much better condition. Will we go back, the answer is a definite “YES”.
Showers could improve.
We had a great time camping at Villa Maroela. The campsite was nice and clean and the people very considerate. The lapa is also very cute with an indoor swimming pool and a nice place to hang out.
Facilities are neat and clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Shop has basic necessities and sufficient for campers.
Friendly service, nice surroundings. Dirt road section was bad after all the rain. Spacious cottage and everything you need.
We broke away for 3 days to Villa Maroela and wow it's so quiet and peaceful the most beautiful birds came to sing you awake in the morning and the lions and jackals wished you sweet dreams at night. Such clean and tidy bathrooms and rooms are just a bonus. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Villa Maroela.
We were 5 adults and 2 children in a forest camp unit, it was very neat, peaceful and people were very helpful.

I enjoyed the nice and quiet weekend with my family being close to nature, pause a little to busy life, very interesting to see wild animals, especially white lions. So happy and I have enjoyed time with my family hope to go back as soon as possible with our friends.
