"Very pleasant."

Great property, awesome estate and very nice views.

"A lovely house, but there are definitely a few things that need attention."

This is not a complaint, just important information to pass on to future guests. Payment: On booking I paid the 50% deposit, and later the 50% balance. According to 'Irishka', the second payment had to be paid directly to the owner. I let them know I had already paid and that they should follow up. There was no notice of the arrangement. Check-in process: We had been a large family group, rented 3 houses on the estate. I was responsible for all the bookings and arrangements. I had to ask for bar codes and things that I could only collect on arrival at the hotel. Inventory: It looks like an inventory has not been taken at home for a long time. E.g. 6 cups but only 2 saucers, 8 forks but 12 knives, only four soda glasses and 2 whiskey glasses. Many of the cups and mugs have been 'chipped' and some of the mugs' ears have been broken off cleanly, but they are still in the cupboard. Outside room: Guests should know in advance that the one bedroom is not inside the house at all. One must use the entrance on the stoep. This was not a problem for us, but will be for guests with small children. Maintenance: The house urgently needs some maintenance. E.g. The shower head in the master bedroom is completely loose and sprays the whole world wet. As a result, the entire roof is moldy. The second room's bathroom roof is also mouldy. Outside bedroom's shower doors cannot close at all. Sliding glass doors at the porch do not work well and are very difficult to open and close. Only the men could push the doors open and shut. WiFi: Although advertised, we couldn't pick up WiFi at all. Not even our young bloke could get him to work. DSTV: This was not too much of a problem for us (luckily we had DSTV in the other two houses), but it is important to let guests know that there is no DSTV. People with children and sports fans will like to know this ahead of time. Coffee machine: There is a lovely coffee machine available, but didn't know to take ground coffee with you. Ice Machine: Bonus! Stairs: There is a steep set of stairs down to the house. Only the first part of it has handrails. We had two grandmothers with us (84 and 88) and it was very difficult to get them up and down without handrails. Golf cart: The day before we checked out, the owner called and asked if we could borrow the golf cart for her other guests in unit G28. We had no idea there was a golf cart at our disposal. She then mentioned that you have to arrange it in advance for an additional fee, but we were not aware of the option at all. We certainly would have used it if we had known.

"Disappointed."

We are a family of 4 with two young children. Unfortunately, the room where our children had to sleep has vapor problems and our children could not sleep in that room. The bathrooms have the same problem. The unit was also not fully equipped and we e.g. had no steak knives. Biggest problem is the steam smells which were naturally made worse by the summer rain.

Friendly welcome, the house was fully equipped with everything we needed. There was enough space for everyone and was very spoiled with the beautiful view of the golf course. Will definitely book again.

Best place we have ever booked online. Exceeded our expectations. There were 1 or 2 small problems, the R800 for cleaning which we were not aware of. The cleaners also let themselves in one day during our stay and cleaned without us being aware of it and did not make the arrangement with us. Some of the cutlery in the cupboards was also not completely clean, we had to wash the glassware and knives and forks again. The air conditioning in the master bedroom dripped a lot of water on the bedside table and floor. But otherwise everything was fine thanks.

Very well-equipped, spacious rooms. We really had a good stay.

What bothered: The gas in the braai set ran out halfway through our first braai. The oven doesn't work, so we couldn't finish cooking our food. One stove top does not work. The batteries in almost all the TV controls are flat. The unit was dusty - probably cleaned when the last vacationers were there. I had to pay a R500 cleaning fee. Otherwise enjoy the stay!
