The view was picture perfect. Security was very good. I would definitely recommend Villa Riviera 24. Hartenbos holiday was all worth it. Sun, sea and rest. Thank you Villa Riviera 24.
The place can be very nice. Unfortunately we drove a day earlier because fleas bit us during the night. When there was loadshedding, big cockroaches came out. We only saw three. The apartment had a very musty smell like a place that had been granted for a long time. I would recommend that they just spray those poison bomb spray bottles for insects in the place to kill the sand fleas and cockroaches. Then maybe leave a window open so it's not so stuffy.
There was also no provision for load shedding, only 2 candles. This is no longer acceptable as it is part of our life. No fan or anything similar. Unit very stuffy in summer months with lots of mosquitoes due to the lagoon and grass area. With the result that all windows and doors must be left open for circulation.
Beautiful place, very clean and tidy, nice view, conveniently close to everything. Very safe.
We had a nice stay. Good location. Very safe. What was disappointing for me is the following: No iron (just had to go and buy one). Was a mop, but no container for mop. I moved the table in the living room and there was no cleaning. Banks are already past their expiration date. No toilet paper, toilet spray, kettle's ear gets hot and doesn't turn off. If someone had said we don't provide anything extra, then I would have planned better. There is a washing machine, but not connected to anything. Don't know if Hartenbos' pets in the kitchen are little ants, because the kitchen was full of little ants. You can't leave anything on the table (I'm not even talking about sweets), ants crawl into everything. I don't like an ant (big or small). First time in Hartenbos - enjoyed sea and waterfront.
We can definitely recommend this accommodation. Owner and agent are very friendly and helpful. The place is beautiful and has a nice view.
Beds can be replaced. Garage too small for Amarok. Door can't close.
Only disappointment was when we got there there was construction going on in front of the lagoon and the machines were making an awful lot of noise, even with the sliding doors leading out to the balcony we could still hear it. There were no extra blankets, nor were there cushions for the chairs on the balcony, unless we missed it all, but we looked everywhere. What we also didn't know is that the apartment is on the 2nd floor, so the 32 stairs up would have been quite difficult for someone who has difficulty climbing stairs and with luggage too, no lifts.
