Very nice. Highly satisfying if you like wide open spaces and no other people around you.
Haven't experienced such tranquility in a long time. Children enjoyed the hot tub, we barbecued while it was still hot outside and in the evening when it was cooler we lit the fireplace. Accommodation has been very well looked after and everything one needs is there. On arrival there was a fresh home-baked bread with real butter for us. We will definitely stay here again with friends, family or our children. Suitable for any occasion.

This is one of those places that leave you torn in two: on the one hand you want to tell everyone about it and on the other you want to keep it half a secret (so that it is not permanently fully discussed). I would love to come and stay here in every season, the Karoo remains just a special place and the owners have thought of absolutely everything to make it a pampering stay. The previous reviews mentioned that one needs more than one night and that is so true. Next time, definitely!
We were so pleasantly surprised with our stay at Traka Cottage. From the warm baked fresh bread with farm butter, to the optional goodies, wine and braai packs in the freezer, the host really went above and beyond to think of everything. The KolKol is also such a wonderful touch with a view that is just breathtaking. The cottage was 10/10 in terms of cleanliness and comfort, and I would certainly recommend the stay.
Incredible view of the Swartberg, and the quietest silence that the Karoo net can offer. You will struggle to beat the cleanliness and hospitality that Traka Cottage offers. There is a snack available with the most delicious rusks and olives. The hot tub was a pleasant surprise. The only regret we have is that we didn't stay longer.
Absolute luxury on the Karoo plain.
