Building needs attention, painting and cleaning.
Automated gate did not work although the gate did have a motor but no remote, garage did not have a lock to be able to lock car safely. The house could do with a whole lot more improvements if the owners provided the management with funds to do so. Penny and her husband did well go above and beyond with what they had to make for a comfortable stay.
House needs a lot of work, not suitable people to run the place and TV not working, only received breakfast 1 time.

The view was beautiful, the hospitality was good - however, the owner needs to pay attention to the maintenance of the bath/rooms. The shower cubicle/doors need to be thoroughly cleaned, and the bed/mattress needs to be replaced. It's lumpy and noisy. We were happy with the breakfast.
Furniture in rooms old ─ especially the mattress. Furthermore, it was clean with nice hot water and a nice breakfast. Host and hostess were very friendly.
No eating or drinking in room. Cupboards where dirty.
The stay was great, the only difficulty I had was that no food is allowed in the bedroom, it kinda makes things difficult, like every time you have to eat you have to go to the dining area. You can't have your snack whenever you want to. It makes the stay a bit unpleasant.

The staff and hostess was very friendly. One request - please replace the bed in room 1. It makes terrible noises and can influence your sleep.

Villa Ventura has catered to our basic needs. We needed a place to stay overnight for a few days and did not have to pay a lot. Just right for that purpose. The location is also very ideal and obviously safe.
I enjoyed our stay. Our host was very friendly and understanding. We enjoyed the breakfast, though some of the people say they found hair in their breakfast. Would recommend it to someone who is budget wise.
Kitchen was not up to standard.
The owners are unfriendly and the lady who works there does not know how to provide customer service. She and her husband turned away our friend and family member every time they came there just to wait for us. She is unfriendly to her guests and the accommodation is not well laid out. We are only given a room and a bathroom with no fridge in the room to store our own personal things, only a large fridge was left for all the guests in a corridor where everyone had to store their things insert, which I find is not permissible at all. The kitchen may not use any gas, and so everything must be done on the fire or one must go out to eat, for which reason plates, glasses and cutlery are not served to guests when a braai is held. The pool is dirty and full of hair, which you can see it is not cleaned every day. The photos do not correspond at all to how the accommodation really looks and so we will never see this Villa Ventura again and will not recommend or assign it to other people.

Refreshing time spent at Villa Ventura.
The accommodation is value for money. Nothing luxurious and very basic. Comfy bed but no choice on type of pillows. I had to buy one.
The staff is good and I would like to encourage them to keep it that way because their positive and friendly behaviour means a lot to the customers. I need to be back at Villa Ventura soon but with my kids and friends now.
