Well rested and the place to stay was excellent.
Had a great stay. Service was very good and everything was just top class.
Hospitable house with lots of space and everything you need. A large group of people can have a great time together or everyone can enjoy their own space. The house is only needed for sleeping, the covered recreation area is protected from rain and heat, and there are animals on your doorstep.
It is a wonder place. The little one enjoyed it and will definitely go again. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Appreciate you.
Wonderful, family friendly place with an unforgettable experience with the wildlife and forest so close.
Vir Altyd has no shortage of amenities at all. From grill tongs, bottle openers to "cast iron" pots and pans. Battery lights for load shedding etc. Out of habit due to other places I've been, I took a lot of items with me, which were completely unnecessary. The wildlife likes to visit the fence, without you having to go looking for them. They are very helpful even if they are not on site. They are always available for help and information.

The visit of the wild animals was always fun to look forward to.

Place is well appointed. Deon is an amazing host, any problem he addresses immediately. We had a great time with the goats and night monkeys, will do it again.

Forever, these two words describe the phantasmagorical and breathtaking experience we had at this dear heartland. The amazement in a child's eyes when they play with a wild animal for the first time and they simply eat food from their hands gives you goosebumps. Forever with its sparkling stars and night owls smiling from the rafters and every ounce of love you experience in this breathtaking place only tells me more of God's omnipotence. An absolutely lovely getaway with so much detail. Really special and will definitely stay here again. Master bedroom's mattress a bit gagga but the rest made up for it!
The place was neat and clean. The fact that animals come to the house is a big bonus. The redone shower is a huge improvement. Unfortunately, the new mattress on the double bed in the master bedroom is not very firm, which causes problems for someone with back problems. Kitchen could also do with a few wine glasses. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Many thanks to Vir Altyd for a lovely weekend break. We stayed very comfortably as 3 families in your place. Outdoor hanging out area was lovely. With goats that regularly came to check if there was food in the feeding bowls. We saw more wildlife around our cottage than when we went on the trail. The little shop in Leeupoort also sells real food for goats. Do yourself a favor and just buy a bag when you check in. We will definitely go back again.

Needs some improvements.
Beautiful leafy green garden, with nice braai facilities and boma. It was nice that different animals came to visit. House was well equipped. We felt cleaning was not up to par. The shower and kitchen cupboards were not spotless. However, a cleaning fee is charged. Especially with the Covid-19 virus, one would expect the cleaning to be done more thoroughly and disinfected. Our complaints were brought to the owner's attention. The bed in master bedroom was very uncomfortable and really should be replaced.

Vir Altyd is a very nice and comfortable place that is well equipped with all the amenities. The owners are concerned about their guests and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your time there. There is a lot of wildlife to see around the house and the children really enjoyed it. Shallow pigs can be a bit annoying. It is quiet and peaceful. Will stay with Vir Altyd again in the future.

A weekend proved too short for this wonderful venue, so we will gladly return for a week stay. Enough space to relax and not trample one another and yet also intimate enough for celebration.
I feel that they should not give the place for 12 guests, just too little space. Place is very spit-and-sticky. Dirty lint and cobwebs. Was very hard work with my 15 month old boy because there are many places where he can get hurt.
A little diamond that still needs polishing. Mattresses "must" be replaced, it's a break and must be able to sleep comfortably. Was super tired from no sleep. Not enough bath space, bath upstairs loose, shower "shock" and room's bath has no water pressure. Carpet in TV room doesn't work for a forest getaway.

Vir Altyd, I want to stay there "vir altyd". It was so nice and relaxing. Everything we needed was there and more. Will stay there again.
Everything was excellent. The house is full of love and very comfortable. Braai facilities as well as the garden layout around the braai are excellent if you just want to braai. The wildlife often came to visit us and eat from your hand. The fence between you and the animals also makes it safe for the children.

It's the ideal place to charge your biological batteries. The friendliness of the residents is quite something special, you don't find it everywhere. It had been a wonderful and well-appointed destination for our 12 friends. Just what we needed for a nice getaway weekend: comfort, close to nature and a special experience with the animals.
Leeupoort is really great!
Our stay at Vir Altyd was a real bushveld experience. The sitting area on the stoep and the lapa reinforced this feeling of "innie bos"! From here we could sit quietly and properly appreciate the splendor of the woodland and the numerous wildlife that graze there. On our arrival we were treated to a bag of braai wood, fire lighters and a bucket of forest food! Pretty soon the goats came to eat out of our hands and our bushveld fire burned high in the lapa every night! We will definitely see you again forever!
We stayed for a weekend and it was truly an unforgettable experience. So many animals that come right to one's front door for some food. A lovely old farm house with room enough for a whole extended family.

The home had everything we needed. Not 5 star luxury, but comfortable. The owners, Adri and Deon, care about the guest's comfort and inquired if everything was in order after we arrived. The animals are so tame and close to home, it's really special. How many times do you see blue wildebeest walking down the road while you're in the lapa or moose up against a house on your late afternoon stroll? If you want peace and quiet for a few days, Vir Altyd is the place.
