Vlei House is a self-catering holiday home located on a large property which is a boundary to the Wakkerstroom Vlei. This freestanding double story stone home offers sweeping views of the vlei and surrounding mountains. It is ideally located for birdwatchers, walkers or just weekenders looking for a relaxing weekend away. It is within close proximity to the Wakkerstroom village centre where guests will find a hotel, little clothing and craft shops, coffee shops, restaurants and a pub. There is also a little bakery and a dairy.

The house can accommodate up to 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The main and second bedrooms each contain a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom. The third bedroom contains a queen-size makes use of the separate bathroom alongside the room. There is a sleeper couch in the sunroom suitable for 1 extra person, but only by pre-arrangement and usually only for children. All the beds have blankets and a duvet as Wakkerstroom can get very cold in winter.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a gas stove, fridge-freezer, toasters, kettle, microwave, and cutlery and crockery. The lounge has a comfy lounge suite, a TV with Openview channels, books to read, DVD’s to watch and a wood burning stove to heat the room. There is a large sunroom with a long dining table and offers a lovely view.

There is a brick braai just outside the sunroom door for convenience. There is also concrete outdoor furniture alongside the braai area. There is ample parking for cars on the property.
