Of all the places we stayed Voëlroepersfontein Gastehuis was the best. Everything was just perfect. Beautiful house that brought so much homesickness, most beautiful garden, Aunt and husband have the most beautiful caring hearts. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast was top notch.
The garden is something incredible and the rooms are spacious and full of charm. The breakfast was so elegantly served with a pot of fresh flowers on the table, beautiful music and a water fountain that spouts from the creek. Beautiful cups of coffee that make you feel like the queen and the most delicious fruit cup followed by a full hot breakfast, and if you're as lucky as I am, there will even be a tame pigeon perched on your shoulder! Great experience! I will go to Albertinia again, if only to stay there!
The host, Marietjie, is very friendly, very helpful. We loved our stay with her and she is always available if you need anything. It was a very peaceful evening, quiet with a beautiful view when you woke up the next morning.
The hostess, Marietjie, is refined and treats her guests with the utmost respect and dignity. The house, garden, art, music, breakfast and the feeling at Voëlroepersfontein is unbeatable. We (my mom, my sister and I) loved our brief stay here and would love to return for a longer stay one day. This place is a beautiful gem in the area, with the most beautiful garden and trees, as well as the best and warmest hospitality that one could wish for. After a 9 day trip, this was a relaxing haven and the kindness and consideration shown by the owners was so appreciated. The breakfast was 5 star too, served with beautiful roses from the garden, and with such elegance and style. The best ever! Thank you so much to the owners and lovely staff.

We were moving from George to Yzerfontein. It was a long day with a late lorry and we looked for a place to stay at Albertinia. Our choice of Voërloepersfontein was the right one. Marietjie made us feel at home, recommended us a place to eat and showed us the impressive library. We wanted to leave early in the morning and would therefore miss the big breakfast. However, upon our departure, Marietjie stood up with a packet of the most delicious road food for us, just another proof of Voëlroepersfontein's commitment to outstanding customer service.

There is a large garden scenery and lapa braai that we enjoyed a lot.
Marietjie and her team are fantastic. From the time we got there to the time we left, they did everything they could think of to make us as comfortable as possible. Laundry was washed and ironed, we were greeted kindly every time we bumped into each other. We even got a call from Marietjie to find out if we were safe at home! They are just absolutely fantastic and we wouldn't think twice about going there again. Thank you very much Marietjie, it was wonderful!
