After a stopover along the way we arrived in Vosburg much later than we had planned and we are grateful for the extra effort made to accommodate us late at night. There was good communication with us throughout. The kindness and helpfulness was so characteristic of that part of our world. The house itself is a nice living house and we are sorry that we only stayed one night. Didn't even get a chance to use the nice braai. House is well equipped and my wife was just looking for more hanging space. Couldn't get the TV to work but maybe that was just my stupidity and we didn't really need it anyway since we landed so late. The fenced yard helped a lot to keep our puppies safe. The silence and peace was incredible and if our next place to stay on our trip wasn't already booked, my wife would definitely want to stay longer. So would definitely use again.
On our journey to Pretoria from the West Coast, we stopped at Vosburg for fuel. I noticed how well the town was kept. The streets are clean, the properties are well cared for, and the surrounding scenery is beautiful. Because of the clean and peaceful ambience of the town, I decided to find a place to stay on our return journey. Vossie-Nes is the ideal place for an authentic and comfortable stopover.
We had a nice stay. Very hot and mosquitos bother, but the stay was good.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was really good value for money and clean. We would definitely recommend this place as a halfway stop between Cape Town and Pretoria.
Excellent value for money. I love the place. Only criticism is that there was nowhere to eat for dinner. All the shops were closed, and the hotel didn't do pub meals. So bring your own food!
I would like to compliment the owners for the effort they have made to be able to restore the place in Vosburg so beautifully. It's such a shame you're not on the main road. The place needs some attention (cracks that need to be repaired) and please give attention to the TV that does not have DStv. Your hostess is great and very helpful. Possible exterior lights that turn on when loadshedding occurs connected to a battery system. Safety is high on my priority list.
We did arrive late, 18:30, but in a pitch black village (we wondered if there was a village). When we first picked up the key and looked for the cottage and finally went in, provision was made for load shedding with lamps and gas to boil water. House is freezing cold, but there were good blankets. For us it was a plus to be able to take our puppies with us. Simple, honest accommodation.
The old house was very neatly furnished, but the braai place was not up to standard.
Went to the effort of having all the extras you could ask for.

We had a great night stop over at Vossie Nes. It was comfortable, good value and nice to see the photos of the restoration of the building over time. They were very well prepared for power cuts as well, with solar lights and a gas stove we could use.
Kitchen fully equipped. Ablution facilities clean and water pressure in shower good. Good beds with plenty of blankets. Fasvrou immediately available and reception friendly.
Vossie-Nes is the perfect team home. There is everything you need for an overnight stay or even more. There is even a tame crow in Vosburg that has come to visit Vossie-Nes. Nicolette is also very friendly and helpful.

Very cute place to stay overnight. Quiet and beautiful village. Would just like to know in advance that all shops would be closed for eating purposes. But definitely worth it. The hostess is very helpful and friendly.

Good accommodation halfway to my destination.
It more than met our expectations, was clean, comfortably equipped and peaceful. We had two yorkies with us and our only negative comment is that although the accommodation allows pets, there were too many openings for the puppies to escape through. So we had to keep them inside or chained all the time. Our hosts were very friendly and even waited for us when we washed a flat tire almost an hour late. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Small town. Vossie Nes very cute name. Friendly welcome. Nice stay for one night. Will recommend it to people. Also think that we city jays can easily support the countryside.
Vosburg itself was charming and welcoming, and Vossie-Nes even more so. Our host went out of her way to bring us an extra fan as it was very hot, and made sure we had everything we needed. It was comfortable and clean, and more than spacious enough for five of us for one night. A really lovely overnight stop.

We would highly recommend Vossie-Nes at any time to those traveling past Vosburg. We really have a lot of licks left there. The braai area is private and we enjoyed the silence of the Karoo together.
