The sliding doors open onto the wooden deck with outdoor furniture where guests can enjoy views of the neighbour’s pond. Please note that there is no TV or Wi-Fi.
A generator is used to keep the water pump on during shower times and the donkey heats the water. There’s enough space for children to safely run around, play, or ride a bike. Guests can cool off in the farm mud pond on the ground and board games are available for guests’ entertainment.
There are numerous activities in the area. Guests can enjoy wine tasting in the Hemel-en-Aarde valley and visit Creation Wines. There are also 12 wine farms on the R320 which are only 30 minutes from the accommodation. The world's longest Zipline is the K3 just outside Caledon which is also only 30 minutes from the accommodation. Guests can visit Stanford, a small town with the best eateries, wine farms, a bee farm, the Panthera Africa Big Cat Sanctuary and the Eikenhoff orchid farm. Hermanus is also nearby for whale watching, beaches, hiking trails and movies.

2 guests' feedbackThis little cottage was a perfect weekend breakaway that reminded me of home. The donkey water heater, oil lamps at night, and lack of WiFi was exactly the unplugged analog charm I was looking for. The view from the stoep looks like a painting, Manndi is an amazing host, and the stars at night are quite magical.
Lovely stay and rested, perfect getaway if you need some quiet. The hostess makes sure you have everything you need.
