The farm offers 2 self-catering units and 1 lodge which comprises 4 log cabins. The separate self-catering units can accommodate 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. These units feature an open-plan living area and kitchen which is equipped with a fridge-freezer, a microwave, a stove, air-conditioning, crockery and cutlery. The lounge has a comfortable couch and a TV with selected DStv channels. Leading out from the living area is a wooden deck with an outdoor dining set and a gas braai. The deck overlooks the farm with uninterrupted views of the Vaal river.

Friendly, helpful people who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We had a great stay and will definitely go again. There is everything and more for a peaceful getaway for any age.
The location of the lodge and rooms is perfectly located next to the river where the water rushes over the rocks. Lively wildlife, we have a.o. spotted herons, geese, otters and a kudu. Picture-perfect sunsets while barbecuing on the sheltered deck. Any photographer's dream!
We had a wonderful stay. The house has everything one could need. View from the porch is beautiful. Jopie and his mother and father are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. It was terribly cold, but provisions were made, lots of extra blankets, the air conditioning worked 100%, and kept the house cozy and warm. It was really a very nice weekend there and we will definitely go there again.

We had such a good stay at Waaihoek. It is an amazing place and I feel so refreshed after the weekend. The chalet was clean, very comfortable, and had the necessary cutlery and goods for a great self-catering experience. Thank you to Uncle Jopie and his wife for the great experience. Jopie went out of his way to help us replace a tyre, which we lost on the way. He arranged to get me a tire from Kimberley and dropped it off at my place.
The owners are very friendly and helpful. Lots of wildlife viewing, delicious braai facilities. Comfortable and tidy accommodation with a very nice view.

Timeless beauty in a relaxing setting on the banks of the Vaal. In our search for tranquillity from the hustle and bustle, Waaihoek Game Farm was a stupendous surprise gem hidden in rural Northern Cape. The view of the river an surrounding nature was indescribable. Our accommodations in the 2 bedroom cabin were more than we expected and catered for all our needs. From our first encounter with the owner (friendly Oom Jopie) on our arrival all through our stay, to when we departed in a thunderstorm, his son went the extra mile and loaded our vehicle onto a trailer to prevent us getting stuck on the trail out. We express our sincere gratitude to Waaihoek owners and staff. We will certainly return for another visit.

Very comfortable, clean and neat place to get away from the busy city life.
We had a great time here with our children over Christmas. The accommodation is equipped with everything one needs, but it would help quite a bit if everything was in working order. The lodge is equipped with 2 air conditioners, of which only one works. In the intense heat we experienced, the one air conditioner simply could not get up the mast to cool the lodge. Wall plugs in the rooms didn't work everywhere either. However, the area is very beautiful, the people are pleasant and we really enjoyed our stay.

Ideal getaway spot on the Vaal River. Accommodation is tidy, beds are comfortable and all modern facilities are available (including air conditioning). The places to stay are nice and secluded and it's dead quiet. We will go again for sure.
Wonderful setting, great service and the hosts made us feel at home and comfortable. The stay was extremely pleasant and clean. The area was beautiful and peaceful and we relaxed. We will definitely go again for a longer period next. The weekend was definitely too short.
