The house had all the amenities, including a closed fireplace that kept us beautifully warm on the chilly nights and was a lovely short walk into town. Very comfortable chalet with all amenities.
What a lovely little cottage with plenty of space too. It’s perfectly located just on the outskirts of Wakkerstroom, with a spectacular view over the valley. Spotlessly clean and so well equipped. Plenty of crockery and cutlery, dishes and pans, etc. There’s even a dishwasher. Load shedding wasn’t an issue as there is a gas stove and rechargeable light bulbs. The handy hook next to the shower for your towel is a small touch that most accommodations don’t think of. Such amazing attention to detail! The recommendations for things to do and places to eat were very helpful. We enjoyed our weekend break immensely and will definitely be back soon. Everything was perfect, arrangements as promised, very well furnished, linen cutlery good quality. Stay was just too short.
The cottage has everything you need, including a stunning view of the mountains. A gorgeous, well-protected patio allows you to enjoy bird-watching even when the wind is howling or have a braai regardless of the weather. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need (except a stove - but we didn't miss it thanks to the braai and microwave). Ronel was responsive and friendly, and the entire experience was excellent. We will definitely return.
Where is Wakkerstroom is equipped with everything you could hope for - and everything is of high quality! The owners have really made available a unit on the outskirts of Wakkerstroom that will make any traveler happy and satisfied. Despite the cold wind outside, the unit is cozy and modern! So on the way up to the mountain, the unit overlooks the plots and village and with the sounds of the farm and magnificent view, one experiences, appreciates and enjoys something of the farm life. Oh, what a lovely visit it was. Can't wait for our next visit!

It was just what I wanted.
If you want to rest, this is the place to relax. Enjoy the view and admire what is around you. It is well located close to the shops. Provision has been made for everything that might come your way. Beautiful place and cozy. I will definitely stay there again. I give it a 10 out of 5.
The owner has gone out of her way to make sure that your stay will be comfortable. We were on a 6 week holiday through the Cape and Namibia and not one place could live up to her standards. There are nice sharp knives and a good sharpener. Would have liked to have had a meat platter for the barbecue. I have rheumatic hands and glass bowls were a bit heavy, I was afraid I would drop them.
One of the best places I've ever stayed. The place is everything one needs to relax. You can basically come with just clothes, the cottage has everything. You can't trade with the place. 10/10.
Ronel and her team have outdone themselves with this lovely and peaceful spot on the mountain. The stoep is definitely a winner in our book and we regretted having to drive on Sunday. Als was great and we look forward to coming and testing that fabric in the winter.
We really needed an escape from bustling Joburg and have been wanting to go to Wakkerstroom for so long. It did not disappoint. Wakkerstroom is a charming South African town, and our accommodation offered a delightful escape. The quaint surroundings painted a picturesque backdrop, complemented by warm and welcoming locals. The accommodation was full of all the comforts one could need, and we often sat outside on the porch with a glass of wine, relaxing and enjoying our getaway. If you get a chance to go to Wakkerstroom, we highly recommend the accommodation.
We really enjoyed our weekend, the unit is very well furnished. Everything is comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the lovely big shower and that with a nice view! There was even provision for the little things you might forget which I found very pleasing which shows that attention is paid to every little detail. We can't wait to come back in winter to use the stove! It was nice to be out of the "town" a bit, we walked in the late evenings and it was quiet and beautiful.
