64 guests' feedbackNice to rest here after a long journey. Can have a good barbecue and relax. Swimming facilities were a pleasant escape from the Karoo heat. Air conditioning was also welcome to be able to sleep nice and cool at night.
The whole experience was very nice. The road through Seweweekspoort deserves a visit. De Wagensdrift did not disappoint at all. Best barbecue place.

Absolutely fantastic getaway - very remote and quiet with amazing views and scenery. No major issues apart from slightly low water pressure for the showers, but this was not a major issue. Overall an amazing time - would highly recommend to others.

Beautiful location, away from the main road and the most beautiful green oasis! The most delicious porch with a built-in braai, nice thorn wood and a fantastic view of the mountains! Swimming pool to cool off and just a nice working farm atmosphere. And of course the pool. This is where you "switch" off! Definitely not worth turning off the N1! Highly recommended!
The facility met all of our requirements. We enjoyed the braaing, the 4x4 and the cycling. It was proper dry and spotting animals was sparse, but we at least got some sightings. The owner was very pleasant and we got to chat re the history of the area, which was great to learn.

We stayed at Wagendrift Lodge on the round trip to Cape Town and back and had such a wonderful time relaxing. The beds sleep very well and their firewood is unbeatable. Everything needed is there to enjoy a wonderful time.

We were received kindly and staff were very helpful. The house was clean, tidy and fully equipped. The 4x4 route in the game camp was an experience with beautiful nature, challenging, but not a car breaker. Bathroom a bit cramped, but the rest makes up for it.
Accommodation is particularly nice and well laid out. Everything needed is there.
We slept great. Wonderful clean bedding comfortable and peaceful night experience. Felt safe. All the necessary breakware we needed was available. Made a delicious breakfast before we hit the road again. Was really an oasis in our route down to the Cape.

After a long journey, we arrive at Wagendrift Lodge to stay overnight and regain strength for the rest of the road. And already when we left Laingsburg we realised it was the right overnight destination. Breathtakingly beautiful. We were greeted with absolute kindness and scenery. Cooled off in the pool and spent the evening quietly at the well-equipped cottage overnight. Definitely recommended.
We have driven a lot past the lodge in the past, little knowing the unique location, very close to the turn-off. So glad we did here. The tranquil feel of the farm with the beautiful mountain views is all you can ask for. The units layout is very well planned, which makes the outside social and braai much more enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wood and ice are available. We can recommend Wagendrift with an open heart.

The houses are well equipped with a very nice veranda to socialise on! There is a view of the mountains and the sounds of the animals makes one forget the hubbub of the city.

Very neat unit, well equipped. An unexpected, pleasant woodland feel with nice mountain bike paths (on the farm and around). Just be aware that only sleeping area is indoors in the units. The living area and kitchen are outside under cover and can probably get cold in winter.

The lodge is very neat and has everything you need. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. Location is very nice and pool very welcome.
The lodge does not look like the picture. I was convinced there was a pool but was not. The area is suffering from severe drought and we were only sceptical to drive this far, but then came to the lodge where a lot of work is done to make it look and feel beautiful. The unit had an air conditioner and it was a blessing. We were alone there, but the staff was very friendly and helpful and provided us with everything we needed.

Big mistake to stay only one night at Wagendrift, not enough time to go walking, cycling and just read quietly. Friendly reception, everything was perfect at our cottage. Our fire burned until late night/early morning, and a bonus was that we were the only ones here, except for the staff. We will definitely come back again!

Lodge, look-out and animals perfect. Kids were entertained the entire evening. However some electrics not functioning, no manager or owner on arrival. Welcomed by very friendly cleaning lady who was awaken by our arrival and tried her best.

Unfortunately, a bump or two loomed. On our arrival there was an extremely bad smell present in the bathroom, coming from the sink drain pipe, closing the plug temporarily solved the problem. We asked one of the workers (there were no other persons) to purchase wood with the promise that it would come, it never happened. In the evening around nine o'clock the water dried up and only started running again in the morning, bad experience without water! Further inquiry (again with the workers) showed that the storage tank was empty.
Lovely peaceful stay. If you want to experience true Karoo peace and quiet, this is the place to be. Living room and kitchen open onto porch. Fantastic!
It was an amazing experience, very relaxing among the moutains and the place is well equipped with everything you need.
We just wanted a quick getaway from the city and the Karoo is one of our favourite destinations. My partner wanted to check it out for a potential bike trip. It was awesome and I can really recommend it. Very chilled, tidy, up to standard, and the people are very friendly.

What a very nice gem in the Karoo! I happened to find the place on Google Maps when I was planning a route to Oudtshoorn, was very pleasantly surprised with the beauty, environment and very friendly woman who received us. I can certainly recommend the place to anyone and we are already planning to visit again with all our friends. Rooms were clean, place is very neat!
The road to the lodge is breathtaking. The cottage we stayed in had everything we would need. And in the evening there was food for the soul with only the fireplace, silence and stars. We slept so blissfully. Will definitely stay there again on the way to Cape Town.
