Hospitality at Warthog's Den was top notch. The units are very well and tastefully equipped, with everything and anything else you will need. The gardens and surroundings are beautiful. The wildlife at the watering hole is a surprise. Alternative power and water is a bonus. We really enjoyed the heated pool. Their service was great and they are very helpful.
This little paradise was an awesome location with Johan and Adèlle as such lovely hosts. We would recommend it to everyone who is looking for a relaxing stay in a beautifully decorated house and room. The pool was very nice, and we even had great game sightings directly from the fence. We went on a game drive through Kranspoort with Johan and learned so much from this excellent guide. The brunch and breakfast were delicious, especially the freshly made marmalade. We really liked that. It was a perfect stay, unfortunately only for two days, and we would definitely book there again. Thanks for everything.

We came to SA from abroad to visit family. We decided on Warthog for the getaway with family. We were 11 adults and teenagers (included). We celebrated my Mother's birthday over the weekend. We had a great time around the pool and boma in the evenings. Adelle and Johann are the friendliest hosts you could ask for. Thank you so much Adelle, you went out of your way to help me with all my requests! The accommodation and garden were beautifully neat and clean. Quiet and so nice to see the goats and warthogs.
The visit with Johan and Adelle exceeded all our expectations. We were received very hospitably and Johan and Adelle made a lot of effort to make our stay unforgettable. We cooled off in the heated swimming pool, watched a breathtaking sunset on the mountain and went on a very informative wildlife viewing drive with a delicious surprise on top of the mountain with delicious coffee and muffins. In Kranspoort Resort there was plenty of wildlife to be seen and the scenery is beautiful. This is truly a guest house that we can recommend with the utmost confidence.

It was the best and most special place to stay that we have done in South Africa. And, if you have something to celebrate, I can recommend Warthogs Den. But also if you want to know more about nature and certainly in preparation for your visit to the Kruger Park. Thank you Johann for everything you taught us and thank you Adelle for the good care.
Hospitality is one thing but adding humanity to it is another and that is what you receive from Johan and Adélle. The experience given by them is utterly worth every moment spent there and it is truly something you cannot get anywhere else. They give you memories you couldn't imagine, from the 4x4 game drive to the well thought out buffet and straight down to the thought of those special moments on top of the mountains with views that can only bring tears. They are truly special in what they offer and it is definitery a place we'd love to return to. I could carry on raving but they truly warm your heart with the kindness and memories they offer.

We had an amazing stay at Warthog's Den. Beautiful picturesque surroundings. Amazing breakfast. Johan is a qualified Field Guide which made the 4x4 game drive not just exciting and fun, but also educational. What an incredible experience, upon our arrival at the guest house we were welcomed by the owners, Adelle and Johan. After a warm greeting, we were given a brief history of the place and an explanation of the rules, after which we were taken to our unit. The units are very clean and tidy and have everything needed. The boma visiting area is also very well planned and there is a nice barbecue in the evenings. Johan and Adelle's hospitality knows no bounds. We booked a game drive for Saturday morning, which was done by Johan and learned a lot about the animals, field and plant life on Kranspoort, the best game drive ever. Halfway through we were treated to delicious "muffins" and coffee, on top of the mountain with the most beautiful view over Kranspoort and in the evening we went with Johan and Adelle and friends on the mountain to admire the sunset. Just want to thank Johan and Adelle again from the bottom of our hearts. As the sign says when leaving Kranspoort, "Enter as a guest, leave as a friend", we definitely feel that we have arrived there as guests and definitely feel as if we have left friends there.

Warthog's Den exceeded our expectations. It's a nice getaway for 2 people in the bushveld. Saw a lot of animals on the game drive and it was a real experience. The sunset over Loskop Dam was also very beautiful. The place is tastefully furnished, with air conditioning in the room. The area around Loskop Dam is also a good tourist destination. Will definitely go again when we have an opportunity.
There is not enough space to describe our wonderful stay, the hospitality of Warthog's Den and the relaxing atmosphere and facilities. Your special experience begins with a warm welcome by Johan and Adelle. Your accommodation is of high quality and the unit lacks nothing. Everything is clean and the unit very comfortable. You just want to pack up and start relaxing. There is a swimming pool where you can cool off. A secluded lapa with benches and chairs. In the middle, as Johan explained, is the Bosveld TV ─ the fire place where you can relax comfortably and sheltered. You sip your refreshments in private and put a stick on the fire that is kindly provided. The scenery is breathtaking. Quiet, no noise, nothing thump-thump or noise. If you are young and want to party, this may not be the place for you. If you want to kick off your shoes, kick back and enjoy nature, watch birds and animals, this is the place for you. Getting there is a snap. We suggest you drive the route that takes you through Middelburg on your way to Groblersdal. Warthog's Den is about 40 km outside Middelburg on this road. As soon as you drive through the entrance, your adventure begins. Please make use of Johan's friendly service to go on a game drive. Definitely worth it! You may think I'm getting an old tip for my feedback, but definitely not! My best half and I can't wait to pack up and visit again. A thousand thanks Johan and Adelle!

We booked 3 units and the rooms are very well equipped, from delicious rusks to mosquito repellent. The rooms are not very big, but I think most people prefer to spend more time outdoors. Lovely hot swimming pool (not fenced) and very quiet area, at the back it is only bushveld. Braai area available.
