Loeriebos is a self-catering wooden cottage situated next to a stream with a breathtaking view of the bush nearby. The cottage comprises a bedroom furnished with a queen-size bed, from this bedroom is also a private entrance to the outdoor shower. There is a mezzanine floor with twin beds, and the lounge area has a mattress under the staircase for 1 person and a single sleeper couch. The entrance to the bathroom leads out of the open-plan lounge area, with another door to the outside open-air shower. The indoor bathroom is fitted with a bath.
The property is safely fenced and there is free Wi-Fi available.
There is also a splash pool for guests to enjoy the warmer weather as well as a picnic spot by the stream. Guests might even spot a bushbuck, suricates, genets, bushbabies or monkeys on the other side of the fence. Myra received us with so much love. Everything was just perfect. We had everything we needed. Our cottage was well furnished. Nice comfortable bed. Clean. In the evening you could sit on the cozy porch and just forget all your worries with the owls and the night owls. What a nice experience. The cottage is like a fairy tale in a forest. Definitely something to experience. We'll see you again soon!

I simply loved the nature except the mopani worm or mopani moth screaming 24/7, but other than that it was perfect.
Amazing bird life and the night sounds of the forest are top notch with the night monkeys chatting all night. Myra is also a pleasant hostess.

It's quiet and safe. Very neat, but very musty smell. It's probably understandable because it's in the woods, I don't know. Honeymooners and romantic weekend, I would say yes. People with children, I would say no. Road directions are mixed up on the website. When we drove, we didn't know where to leave our key either. Bed slept well. Cell phone signal is very weak/none.
We got engaged in your garden on Saturday. We will for sure rest there again and only drive with a van the car was a bit low. But overall it was very nice and very peaceful. Thank you very much.

We would highly recommend the place to everyone! The customer service was great and the owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The log house sits a few meters above a lovely green yard in the middle of a dense forest. The location feels very private and secluded. It was a pleasure to be able to sleep among the sounds of the forest. The facilities inside the house were more than adequate with a beautiful bathroom and practical kitchen to be able to cook. WiFi has made things easy to stay in touch with the outside world.

The photos of Waterbessiebos Cottage are beautiful and often they set a false sense of expectation. Happy to say that what you saw in the photos is just as beautiful as it is in reality. Beautiful natural beauty!
This is the place to go if you want to get away from the city life. Romantic and private. We received great service and support and couldn't have asked for anything more. The was very safe and it felt like staying in the middle of a forest. Large sliding windows let in the forest sounds. From the inside, the treehouse looks like a luxury hotel.
Look out for the GV65 number (GV64 is a chicken business and clearly marked) and not for Waterbessiebos Cottage directions when looking for the turn off from the R528. Waterberry forest is picturesque and you can hear nature's music there with birds, a donkey in the distance and owls when the sun goes down. The unit is of high quality and equipped accordingly. If you really want to rest feel free to come here but the location also makes it perfect to serve as a base for exploring the surroundings which have a lot to offer. The yard is fenced and access is gained through an electric gate. The swimming pool is not located at the unit but is conveniently close by. Feel free to walk through the breathtakingly beautiful garden and appreciate all the hard work that has been done there. Myra is a fantastic wonderful hostess and we would love to return to Waterbessiebos as soon as there is another opportunity.
Waterbessiebos Cottage is the perfect means of forgetting everything. It's as though one is removed from the outside world and can relax among the tree and ferns. We'll definitely be back - we're already planning our next trip to this treehouse. A luxurious bush experience.

Unfortunately we were only in the area for 1 night but would definitely like to go back. The tranquility in the forest is indescribable and for a few days of "unwind" there is no better destination. Incredibly neat, quiet and absolutely ideal for finding yourself.

The ideal place to escape from the daily grind. From the first moment we walked in, we felt welcome. Myra made a special effort with an extra mattress and what a nice surprise was the chocolate on everyone's towel that was specially wrapped in everyone's sleeping place. The nature and beautiful gardens contributed to our peace of mind.
I recommend to the owners to consider installing a TV.

This was a lot of fun. Wish that I could afford a week there. One has so much privacy surrounded by nature. We were two girls on our own and still felt very safe because of the property that is fenced in. I will definitely recommend this place, there is nothing that we can complain about. Ons verblyf by Waterbessiebos Cottage was absoluut onvergeetlik. Die kothuis is gerieflik ingerig, gemaklik en baie netjies. Die groot skuifvensters bied 'n onbelemmerde uitsig oor bos. Die stilte is tasbaar en laat jou vergeet van die wêreld daar buite. Die badkamer is besonders en ek het 'n lang en ontspanne bad geniet. Ek het lekker gesit en boeklees op die bank voor die venster, maar het so deur die lees aan die slaap geraak a.g.v. die rustigheid en van die natuur om my. Myra is 'n baie goeie gasvrou en het vir ons van al die besienswaardighede in die omgewing vertel. Die woefies wat vir ons kom kuier het, was natuurlik vir ons 'n pluspunt. Aande in die bos is 'n belewenis. Terwyl ons lekker op die dek gebraai het kan jy die uile en nagapies hoor roep. Hier hoor jy letterlik as die blare val, so stil is dit. Waterbessiebos Cottage is kos vir die siel. Ek gaan beslis weer kom.

It was very nice. The location of the cottage is fantastic and romantic in the trees with just you and nature.
It was great waking up surrounded by bushes and trees. The absolute silence was strange at first. You know you are truly in nature when you can even hear leaves falling! A great experience! Ideal location close to Tzaneen and you can take a day trip to Duiselskloof. On your way there you can have a look at the largest baobab tree. And a great waterfall on your way back to Magoebaskloof. Definitely recommend this place if you want to relax in nature. Friendly, helpful owners and you are allowed to walk around in their beautiful garden!

We had a great time at Waterbessiebos Lodge. The gardens are beautiful, the cottage tasteful and tidy, and delightfully private! All we can recommend is a bigger bin in the house and two point plugs for mobile phone chargers etc.
It was a special place and surprisingly nicely decorated. If you want to be a little alone and private, this is the ideal place. I would definitely want to go again.
What a nice place, in the most beautiful, peaceful environment! The cottage is very neat and well furnished with all the self-catering necessities you can think of. Reception by the Vissers was very warm and we had a good time with them, explored the wedding "venue" and even ventured into the cold pool (in August!).
The accommodation and surroundings are beautiful. Myra is lovely and helpful. We had a great time and will definitely recommend to friends and family ─ will visit again myself. It was breathtakingly delicious and beautiful. Thank you very much for everything!
Very good if you want to get away as a couple, find yourself and spend quality time together. For a romantic getaway and to spend time with your loved one, Waterbessiebos is definitely the place to choose. Although Waterbessiebos is completely private and remote and basic, it is still close enough to town and other entertainment without being a hassle. We will visit Waterbessiebos again and highly recommend it.
