Perfect place to stay, thank you. I have difficulty walking, so was able to stop right in front of my door. Lina and the security guard even waited for me and helped me carry my luggage. Perfectly located opposite ZAH. It helps a lot that the check-in time is also 'flexible' for someone who might arrive late. The sherry in the room is a nice unexpected winter warmer.

From driving in and being welcomed by a very friendly professional night manager on Friday 10 May 24 until my departure on Sunday, it was one pleasant experience. Comfort, privacy, safety, and attention to every little detail to accommodate a traveller's every need. Sherry and chocolate after a busy day, to somebody hosing my car down before departure. I enjoy staying over in different guesthouses, but I found my favorite place in Pretoria! A big thank you to everybody maintaining the high standard at Waterhouse Guest Lodge Muckleneuk.

Arrival was pleasant. The local municipality was working on power and had not turned on the power until late at night. Management relocated us to Waterhouse Waterkloof where our stay was very pleasant.

I have had the privilege of staying in more than one unit and it has exceeded my expectations every time. The units are clean and tidy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. One feels safe and the unit is equipped with everything one could need.
I slept over for one night and then twice again later. Each time in a different room. The rooms are clean, well equipped, have everything you could need. The reception is very friendly and helpful. I sleep over there every time I visit Pretoria and don't regret it once. The prices are reasonable and the accommodation definitely value for money! I would recommend it to anyone.
One suggestion I can make - for the ladies with the hairdryers - the power point by the mirror was a slight "challenge". I would suggest putting a point by the mirror. Very tidy - good value for money - safe. With my husband being in the hospital and me having to go in and out alone in the evening, safety was important to me - great service received.

Visit Zuid Afrikaans Hospital and is conveniently close, walking distance from all my appointments. Rooms are really very nice and provide everything needed for a nice warm sleep.
Maybe just throw loose mats in front of the bed, especially in winter on the cold floor tiles.

I made the reservation much earlier in the year and called last week just to make sure everything was still in order for our stay. I spoke to someone and she confirmed everything. I specifically asked about the check-in time and she said we could come in anytime from 12:00 to 12:30. I said we would be there at the normal time, 14h00. When we arrived just after 2 pm Jeanette welcomed us kindly, took our friends to their room and us to ours. She apologized that the room was not ready yet. We couldn't even put our bags down because there were towels on the floor and dirty glasses and mugs everywhere. There was even a used patch on the bedside table. We just waited outside on the porch, but we were in the cleaner's way and we couldn't wait with our friends, because they took a nap. The room wasn't ready until 3:15. I called the number but it went straight to voicemail.

I can't say anything wrong about the stay. The rooms were nicely furnished. The bed was lovely with a warm blanket and electric blanket already on. The master bedroom was large. The bathroom stylish and the single beds room small but also nicely done. The children complained that the people next to their room were talking very loudly. I was just unhappy about the environment. The accommodation was city center and not many safe restaurants or take-aways found in the area, 10 km radius.
The hostess, Chantelle and her team, went the extra mile making me feel welcome and at home. Little touches of kindness and a considerate approach impressed me. The stylish interior, tranquil surroundings and afternoon coffee on the wooden deck completed the perfect getaway experience!
I can only say to anyone who also wants to stay there, you won't make a mistake. From our arrival to our departure we received very good service. Very grateful for the guest house that I have visited many times, and booked relatives of patients who had to be hospitalized. The small but simple kitchen is very handy for self-catering, but a kitchen sink is necessary.
We travelled to Pretoria for our children's TSA Tennis Tournament over a long weekend and the accommodation was perfectly suited for our stay and needs.

We enjoyed the stay very much, clean neat and friendly staff. Parking a bit of a problem, but everybody accommodating, was sorted in a jiffy. Will put something in the showers to hold on to for older people as the floors are slippery, but that is small things to be fixed. Will come again and would love the same room.
Room was not ready on time, place was dirty. Crockery and glasses were dirty from previous people's fingerprints. Carpet in room gives a very dirty feeling ─ marks everywhere, hair on the floor, the stairs to the room are uneven and uncomfortable to walk against the lake with plants.
Everything was 100% and conveniently opposite Zuid-Afrikaans Hospital.
It was a very pleasant overnight experience. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the rooms impeccably clean and very comfortable. Thank you very much for the sherry, coffee, tea and biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, thanks to the thick walls, the traffic did not disturb in any way. We can recommend the breakfast, it was delicious. A beautiful place, we will definitely go again!

It was strange that the bathroom door doesn’t have a latch so we had to prop it closed with a chair. The shower leaks which soaked the bath mat. I didn’t get to tell anyone as we left very early, would be great if these things were taken care of.

This guest house is professionally managed and everything is 100% in place. The buildings as well as the garden are painstakingly neatly maintained and the delicious smell of star jasmine in the garden calms one down when the plants are watered in the afternoon. The rooms offer exactly what one needs with top quality linens and beds. The coffee station has delicious instant coffee with Old Brown Sherry as an extra treat. My room opened onto a wooden deck leading to the garden, with your own outdoor table and chairs. Would definitely recommend the guest house again. I was there on a business trip.

After arrival we said we have to pay for breakfast. No say reception, it's included. At breakfast, it is not said in advance what the cheaper breakfast includes. Every guest house is different. They probably assume you know. The next day I get an email that I owe R90 for breakfast. Price includes breakfast and that's it. If a person does not want breakfast, they take it away.
The accommodation was very convenient and comfortable. My husband was in Jacaranda Hospital and it was simple to drive back and forth. Peroneel was very friendly. Thank you very much.

My husband and I are from Tzaneen and stayed in one of your rooms for one night. My husband had to be at the Zuid-Afrikaanse Hospital early the next morning so we didn't have breakfast. We have been in many accommodation places and holiday resorts in our 28 years of marriage and our opinion is that Waterhouse Guest Lodge is very clean, neat, friendly and met all our needs. The electric plug for the microwave, fridge and kettle did not connect well. Was disappointed when the fridge went off and was not switched on for us. The floor of the kitchen was not very clean.
We really liked our room, it was very neat and beautiful! The only negative was that our shower didn't work, the patent on the wall was broken and we only had enough coffee for one cup.

The rooms were neat. The breakfast was a disappointment! There wasn't even enough tables set for the amount of guests having breakfast! We stayed 2 nights. There was no filter coffee. According to the other guests, who stayed the whole week, the excuse was that it was finished. How hard can it be to walk across the road to buy some more? The bacon was finished. That I also don't understand. You can freeze enough supplies and make sure that you have enough available. The management was really poor. Waterhouse is in a lovely location and you can just walk across to the Zuid Afrikaanse Hospitaal. We were convinced that the management is responsible for the poor service.

I was looking for overnight accommodation for me and my husband and I am happy to say that I hit a diamond in the rough in Waterhouse Guest House. The location of the guest house was nice and central for what we wanted to do and we felt very safe in the peaceful surroundings. The room is very well equipped with tasteful decor. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning before we left and although it is not a buffet breakfast it was delicious. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful with a smile. I will definitely use Waterhouse again if we need to spend the night in the area again.

I spent the night with my wife and 4 children in two rooms and it was clean and tidy. I was under the impression that the cost included breakfast, but it did not. However, the staff served us a nice breakfast very quickly. The rooms were clean and tidy and the general impression one of peace and quiet.

We were disappointed with the quality of the mattress and pillows. The mattress seemed to sag in the middle and pillows were almost 'non-existent' too soft. Very important for us to have good support both in mattress and pillows. I would recommend a good quality mattress 'memory foam' pillows. With good support everyone will sleep well. I was also disappointed to find waste bin in bathroom had not been emptied from previous tenant. Staff very friendly, lovely setting.

Staff were really friendly & will gladly assist at any time. The only scary thing is when neighbouring guests in the B&B bring friends in to visit & it's right in front of your doorway. One does not feel safe to leave or come into your room when they are visiting outside your room. However in this case their friends left at 8pm & all was quiet again.
