Checked in very quickly and efficiently. Kids loved the place and wanted to stay longer. I was able to take a nice long bath for once. Coffee and tea, and filter coffee with a plunger! For me as a coffee belly, this was probably the best part. No wait, that was the bath.

The guest house is neat, clean and safe. Best beds! One feels at home! My only negative comment is the "noise". You unfortunately hear the rooms next to you and above you (when they walk or drop things, bump etc.). So if we were to stay there again, I would book at the detached unit. But with everything else I can't find fault!

Made reservation for Valentine's Day but we didn't let the guest house know. They changed us from the basic room to the "honeymoon suite" and it was really far beyond my expectation. Would recommend Waterhouse Guest Lodge any day!
I am a regular traveler and would rate Waterhouse as one of the nicest, best located, and real value of all the places I have stayed. One of my favorites when I need to visit Pretoria. The place was very clean, modern, and had everything one needs to feel at home. Also close to supermarkets, shopping malls and a variety of restaurants. Overall a safe and tranquil stay. I highly recommend this wonderful guesthouse.
Beautiful venue. Hostess was a gem. The unit was very crowded with unnecessary furniture though. Got the impression that the owners are storing a few items there that they do not have other space for. For the price we were paying we expected to have air-conditioning in the unit.

Unfortunately, at the end there was a very noisy group that kept us awake until the early hours of the morning. Management addressed the noisemakers after a request. They didn't stop. Instead, place them away from other guests.
This accommodation is well located, safe, clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our only problem was that the entrance gate and the street address are on two different streets (it's a corner lot), but a quick phone call soon sorted out the confusion. Definitely a very good choice for accommodation in this area.

A beautiful accommodation - inside and out. The bedroom where we stayed in, is decorated tastefully with everything a visitor would need and more! We really enjoyed the peace and quiet, although we were in a city. We were close to the amenities, such as Brooklyn Square for dinner etc. Breakfast was excellent! We had a wonderful stay and recommend the accommodation for business people, families and couples.
Lovely accommodation where you can feel lots of love, and thought had been put into the decorating of the place. Our room was spacious and comfortable and has a little kitchenette in case you want to self-cater. The breakfast was super delicious and served by a lovely lady called Gracie. Will definitely stay again.
The guest house is situated in a comfortable place for where I had to go. It is quiet, comfortable and very neat.
This was not our first stay at Waterhouse, nor will it be our last. We do feel however that they do need to take note of the following: We struggled for a good 15 minutes to gain access, no one answered any of the contact numbers listed, nor the intercom. The gardener eventually let us in and showed us to our accommodation (very friendly chap). The door handle/lock was broken and we ended up tightening screws with a butter knife. All the condiments on the table were well over their expiry date (as far back as 2016). Breakfast was definitely not up to standard. The accommodation though is very pleasant and clean with ample space. We love the quirky decorations and furnishings. The gardens are beautifully kept and tranquil. We will definitely return, but do feel it's necessary to make management aware of the “little details “ they’ve let slip since our last stay there a year ago.
The arrival was not pleasant. Sit and wait in front of the gate for 15 minutes, due to d Duty Manager who was not on site and a new worker who has no idea how to open the gate from a mobile phone. When I did gain access, the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the room lacks a good dusting (artificial flowers), but is extremely comfortable with a nice atmosphere. The gardens, water 'features' calming and the bird sounds (in cage) an unforeseen joy for this barefoot child. Good value for money. Breakfast delicious and quickly served. Thank you, I will stay here again.

There is no personality in this B&B and it has no detail. If you have king size beds then you provide bedding for that size of bed. The plunger is broken and the shower drips all the time. The people who stayed above us sounded like they were running over me until the wee hours, because the sound between the two rooms travels.
It looks like a nice place to stay but it is not. My aircon was not working at all and there was a heat wave in PTA. The TV did not work but they have replaced it. I reported the aircon at the manager on duty and asked him to get someone to come and fix it. They brought a fan in the meanwhile. The aircon was never fixed after I asked it to be fixed the manager said he cleaned the filter and it is working but it was not working. I got stuck in the bathroom for 2 hours because the door could not open. The manager tried to open it with a spade and shovel. I've contacted the owner to inform her that I am staying another night but that I will not pay for it. It was really not a pleasant experience.

I came to visit my daughter in Pretoria and booked a place at Waterhouse because of its convenient location in relation to the main roads in and around Pretoria. We stayed in the "Loft" with our own porch. It is private and sheltered. Everything was perfection. I asked for a breakfast at 7:00 the next morning, but the message was not conveyed. Unfortunately I had to be on the road at 7:30 - there was no one available to ask.
Thanks a lot, we'll definitely stay here again. It was peaceful and quiet and the rooms were beautiful. Breakfast was deliciously prepared and it's value for money. Friendly staff that are willing to help.
Gas geysers did not work.
If you want to book, ask first if there is a group booking. The social area is very close to some of the rooms. Unfortunately, the group did not abide by the rules and made a noise, used fowl language and drank a lot for 2 nights until after 00:00. The manager and owner did not do anything about it, even though we asked them. We tried to deal with it on our own on the 2nd night and were threatened with physical assault. To date, the owner did not even call to apologise, although she was aware of the problem. Stay there, but be warned.
The pictures of the place and what we got were not the same. The booking said breakfast was included, we had to pay for breakfast.

I think it is time that South Africans starts to flood the media with all that is still good in our county, publish positive things and say thank you and pay tribute where necessary. And now I want to say thank you to William and Grace at Waterhouse Guest Lodge in Waterkloof who found my wedding ring after I forgot it in the bathroom. These two went out of their way to get a hold of us to tell us that they'll keep it safe until we can come and get it. I respect them for doing the right thing and pay tribute to these two amazing people.
Waterhouse Guesthouse is very peaceful, and very beautiful. It doesn't feel like you are in Pretoria would definitely recommend.
Everything was neat and the atmosphere was calm.
The decor and so on is nice, but accommodation is just as important. We waited at the gate for at least 12 minutes, after talking to the lady four times (maybe five). According to a staff member, the signal to open the gate was too weak. If they know this they should do something about it. The room was tidy, but the sherry glasses were not washed, the bathroom rug was dirty and there are NO windows in the room, only a sliding glass door. The TV programs are insufficient for Afrikaans-speaking people.
Waterhouse is perfect for our family with small children. Appreciate all the extra effort they put in for us. It's clean, tidy, with a peaceful and homely atmosphere. Even helped track down a lost teddy!
Service was excellent and hospitality of the highest quality. The owner was more than welcoming and we certainly felt at home. She couldn't do enough for us. We will certainly be back next year as alluded to on the weekend. Beautiful home with beautiful furniture and furnishings.
