Wayside Inn is a fully equipped self-catering historic farmhouse, set in an area of outstanding natural beauty in Woodville which is near the Wilderness. The Wayside Inn used to be the old coach house, which housed the horses and carts for the old postal route between Knysna and George, back in the 1800s. The house has recently been restored to a high standard, but the original character has been retained with yellowood ceilings and beams.

The original Wayside Inn was built by Jonas Stevens, he ran the adjoining property and post cart for many years, and was well-known for his hospitality. Weary travellers could always count on a good meal and a comfy bed.

The self-catering house can accommodate up to 7 guests; the whole house is booked and not shared with any other party, making it completely private. The luxury bedroom is stunning and has been used as a Honeymoon Suite. The house contains 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, and a large dining and living area. The first bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom contains a double bed. The third bedroom contains a double bed and a single bed. All bedrooms are ensuite.

The house boasts all modern creature comforts and appliances. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, a large range stove, a toaster, a washing machine and a fridge. The living area features Easyview TV, and several board games, braai facilities and a Nespresso machine are provided. Guests just need to bring their own coffee pods along. Free limited Wi-Fi internet access is available.

The surrounding area combines sea, mountains, rivers, lakes and countryside, and is close to the beautiful beaches of the Wilderness.
