Firstly, we would like to thank our hosts for such a warm welcome and all the patience they had with us. Just a point of concession from us was that we were given older rooms that were not clean, noting that the place was closed and only had us. We had hoped that we would get better accommodation. Noting that the electricity situation needs to improve, but we do know that they have plans already! Other than that, we really felt like we were welcomed and we were treated with so much care. Thank you to all that contributed to this.
Pierre is an absolute gem of a host! He cooked us the most awesome steak! The whole stay was out of this world! Will definitely be back!

We were transported back to 30 years ago when we had our wedding celebrations at the then Wayside Inn. Thank you very much, Pierre and your team! One can see your hard work and dedication to bring the beautiful place back to life in everything. We appreciate your hospitality and effort to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. Thank you for allowing us to experience the history of the "Wayside" together with you. We made new memories again.

The food was pleasant. Atmosphere relaxed.
No television in room which made it difficult as there was a group of contractors staying who took over the whole place. On arrival it was mentioned to us that there were 14 contractors staying which at first did not bother us. The owner provided them with liquor even though it is not legal now. They sat outside our room all afternoon drinking and behaving like barbarians. It feels like the owner is no longer interested, especially not in making sure the guests are satisfied.
Wayside Lodge exceeded all my and my mother's expectations. In the beautiful scenery, we could experience tranquility. As well as excellent hospitality from Pierre and Sally Ann, his wife. The food is of high quality. The units are perfectly clean and comfortable. Thank you very much for an incredible holiday. We will see you again soon.
Host very cordial. Would recommend for people who just want to get away from it all - even for family gatherings - very ideal.
The place is beautiful, clean and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool, especially the children. Very nice and helpful owner, would recommend to anyone who just wants to get away and have some rest.
What a pleasant experience. The only thing I would add is that a larger signboard is added to the door. We arrived after dark and were slightly confused.
