My cousins and sister and I (6 ladies) went for the weekend and oh what a simply beautiful place and a fantastic stay. It's self-catering but everything is (enough) of everything. The pictures don't do the place justice. The owners are such lovely people.

Tjokkie and Dalene are what one would call 'hartsmense'. Salt of the earth folks, who would help their fellow human beings in a heartbeat. Really hospitable, so friendly and warm, they made sure we were comfortable and were ready to go above and beyond (and did) to accommodate us. We did not need for anything; they literally thought of everything, even stocked the freezer with ice. Just bring your food and drinks, clothes and enjoy the views, catch a glimpse of farm life, pick some fruit, and go home refreshed and with a renewed sense of faith in humanity. The weather turned en route home, and Dalene checked in later that day to make sure we got home safely. Thank you very much, may you be blessed.

Was amazing, we were greeted by a doorman who welcomed us, and later brought us a bottle of wine. Wood provided for the braai, and it was probably one of the best welcomes ever! Thank you.

Even though all reviews on Welgelee Farm Stay are positive, they do no justice to what is being offered here. We have experienced every word written in the previous reviews and much more. Thank you for the memories that you made possible Dalene and Tjokkie, we really appreciate you going far out of your way (even building a road!) in order to accommodate us at the back of the most awful weather conditions since years ago inclusive of unexpected flooding in the entire area. Amidst cold and wet weather in the area, we had the most memorable long weekend! Everything was just perfect from cleanliness to cosiness, practical design to total resign. Words cannot really describe this surreal place.

From the moment you arrive until you leave, you feel like you're at home. Friendly, considerate and helpful. The accommodation is very, very well furnished and the smallest things make it extra nice and nice. You can literally only take your suitcase and your fridge/freezer stuff. Things that stood out are the aircon, fireplace, barbecue, dishwasher, first-aid bag, hook for towel by shower door, equipped for loadshedding, enough space, welcome gifts, the view from the veranda and many more. Definitely the best equipped self-catering place I've ever stayed at. There is also a lot to do in and around and close to Worcester.

On arrival at Welgelee we were greeted with a big smile from Dalene. The accommodation was incredibly beautiful and nice and we immediately felt at home. We received a delicious bottle of wine from Dalene and Tjokkie and were able to bring a piece of the Boland back with us. We will definitely visit you again.

I've been a loyal client of the website for quite a few years, but this stay really blew my mind in every way. The hospitality we experienced felt more like we were visiting old friends instead of just booking accommodation. We were truly spoilt, and enjoyed the friendliness, helpful tips on local points of interest. A big bonus here is the possibility of hiking on the property, through the fynbos up to the mountains, or to the farm dams through the orchards. The accommodation is stylishly well appointed, and incredibly comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need to cook up a storm. The views from the stoep and braai area are unbelievable, and the quiet at night is a true balm to the weary city soul. I am definitely going back in 2022.

We absolutely loved our stay at Welgelee Farm Stay. A huge thanks to Dalene for her wonderful hospitality. When we arrived there were delicious pancakes and rusks left for us. The Saturday we received fresh towels and a bottle of wine. Dalene was always in contact to check on us and I have to say we appreciated it all. Also recommended where we could eat and what we could do to entertain our 5-year-old. It was our first weekend away as a family of 4 and we are so happy we spent it at this establishment.

The house has everything you need, and is far enough from everything to feel like you are far from home, but also close enough to surrounding villages if you need anything.
