Unbelievable to wake up with nature around you. Every room was so neat and comfortable. Place atmosphere with all the modern features to make it an unforgettable resting place. We had to go to a wedding, but came home extra early so we could enjoy the tranquility of the farm. Woke up to spring goats and wildebeest on our front porch and a hadeda bathing in the river. We will definitely go again for a long weekend and this time invite friends and family along. Uncle Stan and his wife are helpful and very friendly.
It was wonderful to be able to enjoy a nice farm atmosphere with the animals on your doorstep. What a beautiful sunset we saw. Will use Welgeluk Cottage again.
We had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean, spacious and well equipped. Nothing was short. Lovely clean bedding. Nice hot water. We were warmly welcomed. Very friendly owners. We will definitely stay there again.
Fantastic, well-equipped house. We were thoroughly impressed and immediately booked an extra night. The location is great, lovely farm with nice cycling roads and beautiful spots for a gorgeous sunset. We will definitely be back!
It's a very nice place that is out of the city yet close to all the activities. Neat places and friendly people.
Ideal for exploring Oudtshoorn and the surrounding area. Nice house, but things that bothered me were flies (understandable, because close to animals) as well as a braai drum that was full of ash and grills that were badly rusted. Fortunately, I was able to use my own grills.
I will definitely come again with my wife and children with the in-laws or with my parents.
The Welgeluk cottage is the perfect accommodation - wonderfully peaceful on the farm. Lots of space, everything you need. Was very happy for the warm blankets on the beds because rooms are on the cold side (it was indeed winter in the Karoo!), and there was a lovely big fireplace in the living room. Air conditioners in all rooms for the summer. Another bonus is that they are not affected by load shedding. We hope to be able to visit there again soon!
We had an enjoyable stay at Welgeluk. The cottage is well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Close proximity to all sightseeing in Oudshoorn. Aircon was very welcome in mid-summer. Plenty of birds if you enjoy birding.
Welgeluk Cottage was awesome. We went with my parents, and they also enjoyed it. It's a very nice place and good value for money. Everything you need it there, to just relax and recharge.
Stan was very friendly and helpful with the check in and check out of the cottage.
Safari farm tour is a winner, the animals give the feeling that you are somewhere in Africa on safari, would go back anytime.
The cottage is cosy and very spacious. It's extremely well equipped with absolutely everything necessary and even complimentary necessities is a bonus. We felt at home from home. The owners were so friendly and helpful. It's a great escape from the city.
This is a very nice cottage, well equipped and furnished tastefully. The hosts and their family all made us feel welcome on arrival and at all times. Thank you, it was much appreciated. We were able to go where we wanted to on the farm and explore at our leisure. The kudu and the springbok were a delight to watch from inside and outside the cottage.
Wellluck is the perfect place for a peaceful getaway! We really enjoyed it and it felt like we were family to the owners. We were carried on our hands.

The accommodation was unbeatable in a very well-equipped cottage. The beds are lovely and the bathrooms are a dream. Attention is paid to the smallest detail to ensure a comfortable stay. Stan and his son's friendly help also contribute to the good experience. The kudus greeting you when you look out the window is a nice bonus!
We were kindly received. The children really enjoyed feeding the goats. It is comfortable accommodation with small children, there is enough space for them to play. We also enjoyed the tranquility of the surroundings.

We were very impressed with the cottage. It was spotless, homely and comfortable and the farm was everything we expected it to be. The owner, Ryan catered for our every need and went out of his way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Ryan is genuine, honest and thoughtful and our family took an instant liking to him. We will definitely recommend Welgeluk to our family and friends.

We were scared to sleep over at a farm, but I wanted the kids to have an ostrich experience. It was so safe, what an awesome place. Ryan made us feel very much at home, what a great young man. We look forward to going again. This time for longer. I can't wait to see the original Ostrich Palace: Welgeluk 1910 after it will be converted into a guest house.
My family and I stayed at Welgeluk Cottage for 2 nights - only problem was that it was too short! Ryan and Melissa went out of their way to make it convenient for us. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and they have thought of everything. Ryan was kind enough to let my kids help him feed the lambs and other animals on the farm every morning and evening - they were ecstatic.
Fantastic hospitable people. Neat rooms and bathrooms with nice large indoor braai area. Woke up to the bleating of sheep, nice farm feeling. Very child friendly and safe.
