Weltevreden Country Guest Lodge is situated in Tom Burke on Weltevreden Farm which is located approximately 4 km from Martin’s Drift/Groblers Bridge Border Post into Botswana. The lodge offers an ideal stopover for business and leisure travellers, as well as an overnight facility catering for guests attending 2 of the wedding venues in the area. Alternatively guests can enjoy a lovely very quiet, short break, away from the hustle and bustle of the cities.
Accommodation is offered in 3 thatched chalets, each equipped with air-conditioning, a bar fridge, and an en-suite bathroom. Each chalet can accommodate 2 guests, and an extra bed or a baby cot can be added on request. Breakfast and other meals are served in the guest dining room; meals are prepared by prior arrangement only, before 3 pm, and are payable at the lodge.
There is a guest house with 2 bedrooms, each sleeping 2 guests, as well as a roomy loft sleeping an additional 4 guests. The guest house also comprises a lounge , a dining room, 2 bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen. All guests have access to rustic braai facilities; a nominal fee for wood, and cutlery and crockery will be charged. All rooms are serviced on a daily basis.
Visitors can browse a selection of antique and vintage furniture and collectibles at the lodge. The furniture is also used to furnish the lodge. Items which are for sale have been marked with price tags. There is a fully stocked needlecraft shop on the premises, where you can stock up on beautiful wools, embroidery floss and fabrics, all sourced locally and some from overseas.

Pieter and Petra are very pleasant people. For an overnight stay near the Botswana-Groblersbrug border, this is the perfect place. Pieter prepared a delicious dinner for us. Interesting that there is an antiques "shop" on site, enjoyed walking through it. Would definitely recommend.

We found Weltevreden easily, the reception was friendly and warm and our room was cool, tidy with a pleasant smell in the air. The evening's visit to the dinner table with the owners' family was a special experience. We strongly recommend them.
What a wonderful lodge. From the moment we arrived, Petra, the owner, made us feel very welcome and at home. Our chalet was beautifully furnished, with good quality linen and fluffy towels. The evening meal was delicious and the dessert was beautifully presented. Breakfast was another treat, with homemade bread and rolls as well as a great cooked breakfast. Well done Petra, your pride and passion for this lodge shines through. We will be back.
The owners went out of their way to make me feel at home and even made me a packed lunch as I wanted to leave early.
Very friendly reception by Petra and Pieter, we had a great time. The quiet and clean Bosveld atmosphere is refreshing. The rooms are very neat, clean and spacious. Ideally located for travel to and from Botswana. We will definitely stay there again.

Found this beautiful quiet place in nature just minutes away from the Botswana border, in an area called Tom Burke. The staff and owner were incredibly friendly and hospitable. I really liked that the accommodation was air-conditioned. I have no doubt that I will be staying here again.
