Our chalets can each accommodate 4 adults or 2 Adults and 2 children. They comprise 2 bedrooms with king or single beds in the main bedroom and 2 single beds in the loft room upstairs. Each chalet has a kitchenette equipped with a bar fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster, electrical frying pan and basic cutlery and crockery needed. There are also pots in pans that must be booked in advance.

It was good and I enjoyed it, though I would have liked to be in a chalet.
The chalet was tidy, the pool lovely, it was quiet and peaceful. Saw some nice wildlife on the lookout road.
The reserve part of the lodge looks top notch. The accommodation definitely needs a woman's hand to be cleaner. There are many items in the houses that are broken. They can make an effort to try to do more control over the flies with red tops.
With the lot of rain, the dirt road was slippery and muddy, but not a problem if you've gotten to know it before. The Micra just needs a good valet after this! Efforts were made to inform me of alternative routes.
Great game drive to see animals and atmosphere was awesome. The peace and quiet was just what my family needed and my daughter loved seeing the animals.

We had a great time in Chalet 2 this weekend! It's a comfortable little house with a lovely stoep and braai place. It's a very private little house and the furniture is comfortable and the basic appliances are there. Thank you for the friendly reception and stopping by during the weekend Lizette! You were so busy after the big fire on the farm, but have always made sure that your guests are 100% happy with everything. We will definitely break away from the city again and visit you to recharge.

Little privacy due to no curtains in the living room, very close to N1, no silence. Overall a good experience and we were able to relax. They might just put more effort into showing the guests the lions. Would have enjoyed it.
We really enjoyed the pit stop on the way to Cape Town. As soon as you drive in at the gate, the tranquility falls on you. The people there are friendly and make you feel welcome. The cottages are clean and well laid out. We really enjoyed our time here and will definitely use the place again in the future.

The dirt road to the Lodge is a bit long after a long day on the road, but it is already part of a wild ride. The chalets are very comfortable and have everything you need. Only take own wood for braai. For R 250.00 extra you can do a game drive yourself which is worth it.
Was a very peaceful and comfortable stay. Chalets are cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. Neat braai area in front of each unit. Just a few things to note: Breakfast is not included and also not easy to prepare yourself as there is no stove - only microwave oven and electric wok. Firewood for braai is not provided and must be purchased yourself. Game drive (in own car) is extra at R250 which is a bit expensive for what it entails. No hesitation in recommending the accommodation - very nice.
Well received and well treated. Staff is friendly. Room is convenient. The absolute silence of the forest is unfortunately lacking as the highway runs to the farm. For those who do not have 4x4 vehicles, a fairly long gravel road to the farm is your prime. Generally a nice getaway. Will visit again.

Really luxurious and comfortable and spacious accommodation at a Game Lodge. Faultless. Exceptionally maintained grounds. The Cabanas have a broad veranda where one can enjoy evening drinks whilst watching game on the nearby hillside. Beautiful evening light for exceptional photography. Closeness to N1 freeway causes disturbing noise whilst trying to sleep. Double glazing would have helped this situation. No restaurant service without giving prior notification - would have been nice to have been notified as such!
What a surprise right here under our noses! About all that was seen was a goat, bonus of a baby giraffe and the beautiful 4 month old lion cubs right next to our little house. Roasted in front of the house and could continuously watch the cubs and 2 beautiful cheetahs. No, leave the ipads and gadgets at home. Our children really enjoyed the wildlife. Staff are super friendly and helpful, we will definitely go again!

Thank you to the staff who went out of their way to receive us at 12 o'clock in the evening, and of course my daughter cannot get over the fact that she was able to feed the young lion cubs. Thank you for excellent service, just a shame we couldn't stay longer.

From the start I was assisted in a wonderful way with the booking - even when I wanted to change my booking to stay longer in the Cape. The whole setup and the lady that welcomed us made a lasting impression. I recommend this Lodge to anyone who wants to just relax.

It is the ideal place for people who want to get away from the city noise. The birds' sounds in the morning and especially at night were fantastic. The chalet was painfully neat and clean. We will definitely go again and have already told friends about the place.

It was really a very good choice to sleep over at Weltevreden Game Lodge. The cabana was nicely equipped and very tidy. The cheetahs kept our little girls busy the whole time and the pool was ideal for the hot day! We will recommend the lodge to our friends!

We as a family chose Weltevrede Lodge to spend the night and it was excellent. We were kindly welcomed and immediately felt at home and at ease. The accommodation is neat and clean and everything you need is available. The breakfast we got was delicious and a filling meal, just what is needed to start the day. My family and I will use their service again in the future.

Weltevreden Game Lodge takes full advantage of everything they can from a small piece of land. One does not have to drive too deep into the forest to see interesting things such as white springbok or black and white bellies. The chalets are very neat and you feel immediately at home. Definitely recommendable for a weekend getaway with good friends near Bloemfontein.

We are satisfied, unfortunately the place is next to the N1 and the noise is disturbing, but otherwise it is really good value for money and the reception was good.
Slept peacefully and saw a lot of animals!
Only one of the units we got was equipped for self-catering. There was no stove, only a microwave oven. The small fridge was without a freezer compartment.
We enjoyed the stay, chalet set up really nice and safe for children but can do with larger fridge. Food was not that great - the breakfast provided was cold and not that tasty. Picnic basket not good value for money - could have scaled down and provided at cheaper price - lots of items went to waste. Would suggest a provided menu with options to select from in future.
Whilst I enjoyed my stay and the staff were all very nice and the lodge was clean, it was too close to the highway for my comfort. I don't want to go to the bush and listen to trucks passing by all day and night. There is wasted space in the chalet. They could have used the extra space and put in a work surface, a 2 plate stove (at least) and a full sized fridge. There wasn't enough space in the fridge for 2 peoples food, let alone a family of four. A little extra space in the bedroom so it could accommodate a small dressing table would have also been nice. I assume the room was designed by a man :-) The lookout points are really well thought of and very pleasant to sit at.
You can drive your boat on the Modder River & fish & the stay is very pleasant. There were also cheetahs to see & a ghost in our unit!
Given the price we expected much more, will not use again. Too close to main road, staff friendly and helpful.
