We enjoyed our stay at Werda guesthouse. The guesthouse is very neat and cozy. We loved it. The staff is so friendly.
We had a wonderful stay. The guest house has a large secure parking area. It is fully equipped with absolutely everything you need for self-catering. The garden is large and a braai, and there is a garden set. Everything was clean and tidy, and the shower had enough hot water. The service was friendly, fast and competent. Yes, it's next to a major road. So yes, you will hear vehicles. If you are looking for silence, go stay on a farm. The location of the guesthouse was perfect for us. Close to the shopping center and close to the schools where the rugby trials were, which we were in Upington for. The air conditioner worked great. And the bonus: the beds and mattresses are of excellent quality, so we woke up rested. The guesthouse is affordable. I highly doubt you will get better value for money anywhere.
We always have fun. The rooms are clean and tidy and the reception is very friendly.

The unit No 4 is well laid out, clean and everything needed is in the unit. The management is very friendly and helpful. Brought meat with me and the freezer was too small, but a plan was made to store the meat in another fridge. Thumbs up.

We asked for a specific apartment on site where we know there is Wi-Fi, but upon arrival we were told the apartment was already occupied and we were taken to an adjacent site. The next morning I took it up with the owner and she was not friendly at all, but quite incompetent. She said the flat was more expensive - as if I couldn't afford to pay extra!

We checked in on Christmas Day. Sanet made a lot of effort to get everything ready for us even on that holiday, even leaving the air conditioner on so that the place was cool when we got there. Everything was there that we needed for an overnight stay. Very affordable and neat. Secure parking. Walking distance from Orange River cellars. Would recommend Werda Guesthouse to any person. Neat layout with friendly administration creates a peaceful atmosphere.
If possible arrange temporary cleaning staff as it was quite a bit inconvenient to keep clean by yourself.
We were impressed with the facilities offered at the price and the service was friendly and excellent.
We had a very nice stay. The air-conditioning was welcome in almost 40 degrees outside. The garden is very well cared for and all the basic kitchenware is there and there is a bath and a lovely shower. The packing space is definitely an asset! If the accommodation instructions were also available in Afrikaans, it would be a 120% experience.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Was surprised how spacious the unit we rented was. The place is very neat and clean. Werda is also perfectly located close to the Kalahari Mall. I would definitely book with Werda again anytime.

The house does not have a guest house or vacation feel.
We stayed at Werda Guesthouse for 4 nights. We booked two double rooms and were pleasantly surprised at the welcome we got on arrival, and how neat and tidy the place was. The rooms were very spacious, and very nicely decorated. Everything you needed was there, and the owners were friendly and very helpful. Upington is a beautiful place, and Werda Guesthouse I can definitely recommend to anyone looking for accommodation.
The stay was without any faults and the service was friendly. Only small problem was that the bell at the front door was not answered, so we had to call the number on the sign outside the fence.
We arrived in Upington late in the evening, aunty Yvonne had already turned on our aircon so that our room was nice and cool on arrival. Rooms are clean and tidy. Werda Gastehuis is also nicely centrally located in Upington. Aunt Yvonne also accommodated us with our 2 dogs without any problems and I appreciated that VERY MUCH. I will not go to any other guest house if I have to drive through Upington again and stay overnight.
