35 guests' feedbackHenry and Friedl are friendly people. We immediately felt at home! Great relax.
Werfhuisie is close to Arniston and close to the De Hoop reserve, both offering exceptional day visits.
Great spot and pleasant owner.
Great spot! Due to flooding, the road to the farm was a little difficult to drive in a small car, but we made it eventually. Lovely place and friendly people. We enjoyed our evening, thank you!
Werfhuisie was a nice break for us from the hustle and bustle at home. My daughter had a great time playing with the dogs and the owners themselves were very friendly and hospitable. All that bothered me a bit is the 2 chairs at the kitchen table are a bit unstable and uncomfortable, the table itself is also a bit wobbly. The single bed they put for us at the front has a very soft mattress. But other than that we really enjoyed the weekend. Hope we get a chance to visit again. I had such a good time, just forgot my honey there.
Very friendly and helpful host. The house is small, but the bed is wonderfully large with good linen and pillows. There are two large dogs that enjoy spending time together, an outdoor barbecue and a fireplace inside for cold evenings.
The owner was very hospitable, but the cottage itself is unfinished and untidy. It would be nice if there were a chair or 2 at the table on the patio. The mattress and bedding were very comfortable.
We explored the area at the weekend and Werfhuisie is centrally located to comfortably visit all the attractions. For the cold evenings there is the wood dust to look forward to. Have a nice time.
Nice farm atmosphere. Very close to Arniston.
Location very good. Atmosphere great. If you love nature you must go here. The 2 dogs make it even more fun too.
Loved staying here, definitely our type of breakaway. Loved the pups as well.
A true host. Told nice stories and made us feel very much at home.
We arrived on the farm as strangers and we left there as good friends. Henry and his family went out of their way to make our time on the farm as pleasant as possible. They are happy to share their knowledge of the area, which made it possible for us to explore places we wouldn't even know about otherwise. The accommodation was basic (as it should be on the farm), but more than adequate and extremely clean and tidy.
The place is a bit small, but cozy. Would have loved to have an oven and kitchen table, but loved every moment on the farm. The dogs kept us company and safe.
Access road a problem. Kitchen and living area quite cramped.
Basic and neatly equipped accommodation with a braai area and a nice big bed with a comfortable mattress and good quality bedding. We were kindly received by Henry, who also shared a lot of information about the area with us. Even after I forgot my laptop charger there, he went out of his way to return it to us. His daughter took it with her to Paarl and we could therefore comfortably drive from the Cape to get it to her. Thank you very much Henry for the information, good service and a good night's sleep.
Just right to recharge batteries. But also close enough to surrounding villages and Die Dam. Good fishing area.
The first impression on arrival could be improved and a more sheltered barbecue would be great, especially with the wind we experienced.
Spotless well-equipped cottage on a farm with nice garden and braai facilities. It had the biggest double bed we have ever seen. The host was very friendly and helpful. 16 piglets had just been born which was an education to see.
Werfhuisie was a great treat. The place has just what you need and a nice braai area and fireplace! It is ideal for one or two nights. The house was very neat and nice and close to the sea.
Would like to go back.
The owner was very friendly. He accommodated us to check in earlier than the required time. The establishment was clean and well-equipped.
We were warmly welcomed and Henry went through a lot of effort to answer all our questions on attractions in Waenhuiskrans. Unfortunately is was super hot in the house, so a fan would be welcome. After we did our research, we realised to our surprise what big role the Pratt families play in the history of this town. Henry, we think it's a big plus for Werfhuisie specifically, but also for the environment. You can maybe take a few pages with info on the farm and Pratt family and hang it on the walls of the house, the guests should like it a lot!
Very relaxing and quiet peaceful stay on a historic farm.
We had a great time and Henry was a very good host! The atmosphere on the farm was so peaceful and we were able to end our holiday on a calm, peaceful note. We are already planning our next visit!
Quaint and comfortable farm cottage. It's a very peaceful environment, but conveniently close to Arniston and not far from Bredasdorp. We enjoyed our stay very much!
We had a lovely time. Quiet area with cute animals, and the owners are amazing people, very friendly and helpful. We will be back for sure.
LekkeSlaap's service 100%. Place to stay just what we were looking for. Only stayed 1 night, but wish it could have been longer! The tranquility, farm setting, the barbecue with all the benches and corners outside is very "cuddly". Location is also ideal. Love that the owner also makes contact with a person and that one can ask questions exactly what the setting is. Highly recommended to break away from the hectic city!
Had a lovely stay. Had a little bit of problems with the hot water but it was sorted out quickly. Would've liked some more braai equipment, like a braaibak and tong, etc. A few tall glasses would've been nice as well.
Had a lovely stay here in December 2017 with wife and child. Very quiet, no interruptions from other people or noise. Explored the farm, visited various animals, had a couple of lekker braais. Beach is a short drive away. The place is clean and well situated for the wind. The farm dogs are very friendly and affectionate.
It was perfect. Very peaceful and great for young children to play outside.
Friendly people, comfortable accommodation, peaceful setting.
Felt at home, clean, neat, and will defnitely recommend!
The owners are wonderfully helpful which made the stay even more comfortable.
Little houses offer good value for money and close to many attractions in the surrouding area.
