The farm is halfway between Dwarskersbos and Elandsbaai and the nearby Verloren Vlei area which is known for its birdlife. A 400 m long private airstrip on the farm that can be used by light aircraft prior to arrangement.
These tents are located in the bush behind a sand dune, with a 500 m walk to a 40 km long unspoiled sandy beach. The beach is also accessible with a 4x4 vehicle. On the beach, you will find numerous breeding pairs of Black Oyster Catchers, Tobie, and their nests, especially during the summer months. A wonderful getaway.
We were kindly welcomed and taken to our tent with a Landie. (Our car was too low for the soft sand). It is incredibly beautiful, in the middle and feeling part of nature and just behind a dune from the sea. Tent has everything one needs. It is pretty clean and tidy. Field mice and birds around the tent to admire all day and then walk for miles on the beach. The stars in the evening are breathtaking and you sit quietly on the wooden deck and watch the sky.
We had a nice stay.
We enjoyed it very much. Will definitely come back again. Our dogs too.
Great place to rest.
My wife and I did a short honeymoon road trip from Gouritsmond to Calvinia and stayed here. It was incredible - the silence, the tranquility. I mentioned it was our honeymoon and they had champagne on ice when we got there, which we went to drink on the dune as the sun set. Nice sandy paths that require 4x4, which was icing on the cake.

This was the 4th visit and as always a special relaxing experience with the roar of the sea and fresh air with lots of bird sounds, no social media or similar annoyances.
Yes, we had a great time and barbecued at the separate braai boma, it's very beautiful there and the sea being so close makes it very convenient.
Disappointing no sea view as shown. Only access is with 4x4 from reception, so you have to rely on them. Definitely not 500m to the beach. Also, the sand is so hot that it makes it impossible to walk there.
Very nice glamping on the West Coast and you basically have the whole beach to yourself. The people are friendly and very helpful. This was our second time there and will go back again.

Peaceful and secluded with the best sunsets and a private beach as far as the eye can see. Also had an amazing unexpected experience with dolphins putting on a show off the shore on our last day.
We loved being close to nature. The thick, very soft sand made it difficult to walk, in case a guest has difficulty walking.

We really enjoyed the sound of the sea in our ears, Rashied is an iron helped me with tire pressure on 4x4 and he is always ready to help with a big smile, MTN has no signal so struggled a bit at the gate without signal, but the lovely visit meters from the sea made us soon forget about it, wonderful place.

For someone who likes the camping feel, but not the tent/inflatable mattress part, this is perfect. Comfortable bed, your own bathroom and kitchenette. Then you have the beach just a short distance away and a lovely patio to just sit and rest your soul! The owners are very helpful and you can get delicious farm eggs etc. enjoy their little shop. Would highly recommend!

Rashied, our host, was wonderful. Nothing was too much for him. He made our holiday. It's quiet and absolutely for the nature lover. Lots of birds between two dunes where the tents are situated. I would recommend that you have a 4x4 vehicle and know how to drive in sand. Our bedding and towels where changed regularly and it is was clean. It's a wonderful place where you can find inner peace, reading a book walking along the beach, watching birds and resting.
The tents are located on the premises of Fork West Farm just in front of the last dune to the beach. If you are not travelling in a 4x4 you will be escorted to the tent with the owners 4x4 and your car will wait for you in a shady parking spot. The three tents are spacious. We could have used some more kitchen equipment as a toaster or a second pot for example but in general everything is there that is needed for a simple breakfast and a braai.
Loved the tents but they could do with see through windows (especially when its windy or wet) so as to enjoy the feeling of the outdoors.
Our hearts have been stolen. The kids, dogs and the adults enjoyed this place so much. Tents are fully equipped. The endless beach just for yourself. Rashied, a pleasant man, who set up a gazebo on the beach for us and a ground cover for our 8 month old baby. Here we rested. It was the third holiday with you and we will see you again soon.
We had a really nice stay and had a good rest. I would just suggest maybe saying that people on Cell C network should not give their number to open the gate - Cell C doesn't pick up there so you are stranded. Luckily we were able to sort it out. It is very beautiful and the tents are very well equipped.

The friendliest welcome by Rashied, the farm's right hand. The place is a getaway from everything and everyone with the friendliest staff, our geyser was broken and they scrambled for hours until they fixed it, even offering us another tent and a Jacuzzi. The beautiful beach over the sand dune is an experience. A bit of a walk, but worth it.
Here you can get the feeling that you are alone without crowding, town bustle and all kinds of distractions. I would change one or two things: the washing up part of the safari tent could be made more sheltered from wind and rain. And if the tent had plastic windows, one would still have sufficient light and view when it rains.

This was our second visit to West Coast Luxury Tents and they will definitely see us for a third time. The tranquility and beautiful white beach where you can walk for miles without seeing a single other person makes it worth it time and time again. Incredible holiday in a superbly equipped tent with unbeatable service!
We had a great time staying here for 5 days, together with our Labrador. The tents are well equipped with everything you need. The extra blankets helped a lot, as it can get a bit chilly at night, especially when it's foggy. We drove a Navara pick-up (not 4x4), we just deflated our tires to 0.5 bar, and could easily drive to the tent. We even once drove to the top of the dune overlooking the sea/beach. Our bakkie has bigger wheels on it, so that must have helped a lot. The other times we walked to the sea, the walk to the sea/beach is quite a strenuous walk, 10 minutes, the sand is very loose and it is uphill. Breaths were almost racing when we arrived at the beach! Rashied is a real asset, always friendly and very helpful! We really enjoyed our stay, read and talked a lot, something you have to do once in a while when there is no internet connection.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Luxury tents. The staff and especially Rashied were very helpful. We get drunk on the beauty of the coast there and the beach. Unfortunately, bad weather can make the time in the tent difficult, especially with a small child. But that's part of any camping holiday.

Peaceful, tranquil and private. Facilities were wonderful, everything we needed was provided for, very clean and neat.
From the minute we got there, we felt at home. Rashied and his wife are very helpful. Rashied took us to our tent with his 4x4. His wife cleaned the place and washed the dishes every day, it was lovely to not have to think about cleaning or dishes for the whole weekend. We took the dog with and think he enjoyed it the most. It is also just a short distance over the dunes to the beach, but it's not far and we walked on the beach for kilometers with the dog playing all the while and getting a fright from the seals on the beach. The braai area is nice and secluded and we braai'd the whole time. Tent is fully equipped with everything that is needed. We could really relax and will recommend it to anyone wanting to switch off for a weekend. Just what we needed.

What a pleasure to stay in such a lovely, luxurious tent between the gardens with the ocean within hearing distance. The owners have made an effort to make sure we enjoyed every moment! Rachit welcomed us warmly and made his Land Rover available for the short dirt road. And the best surprise? To find a deck on top of the sand dune with lovely seating underneath where you can sit, have a picnic and enjoy the majestic sea and beach! The tent also has a picnic basket and a lapa! Will definitely want to go back!

The layout of the tents, the comfortable furniture, braai area and equipment truly makes it Luxury Tents. The reception and handling of Rashied - the manager - was incredible. This is a wow place.
The tent was fully equipped with everything we needed. A quiet bed with enough blankets for the cold evenings. The tents are large enough to walk around comfortably and there is a separate, sheltered area (with wood) for barbecuing. Each tent has everything needed (braai facilities, grills, plates, glass tongs, lights, fridge, microwave, electric induction stove, etc.) so that guests only have to bring their clothes and food. The accommodation is just behind the dune so is quite protected from the potential wind, but unfortunately this means that there is no beach view. The beach is only a 5 minute walk across the dune. The beach is PRIVATE for several kilometers and with the fact that there are only a few of the tents, you are guaranteed to see almost no one for almost your entire stay. There is a team that comes to wash your dishes every day in the separate outside cleaning area. The first box of wood was provided (enough for two people for two days) after which more can be bought. Access to the tents is only by 4x4, but you can (as in our case) store your normal vehicle in their garage and be taken to your tent by their old classic Land Rover (and collected at the end of your stay - you can just drive yourself too). The entrance to the farm is through an electric gate which is programmed with the telephone number provided after booking. So one only has to dial the number and the gate will open. Unfortunately the signal is not so good at the gate (we struggled but managed). The guests are incredibly friendly and their manager (Lanesh - hope we remember the name correctly) was very helpful and willing. The evenings were cold, but there was enough bedding to keep us warm. We had a really nice stay and totally relaxed! Wonderful, quiet, private, peaceful, relaxing!
The accommodation was neat, the people extremely friendly and the surroundings breathtaking! If you are looking for a vacation, to read a book on the beach without any disturbance, this is definitely the place to visit. We will definitely take the long way to the West Coast again to visit West Coast Luxury Tents!

The tranquility and solitude of the endless beach and the privacy that comes with nobody else around was truly special. Rashid who looks after the place for the owner was a breath of fresh air, very friendly and helpful, always smiling. Long walks on the beach with no-one except the dolphins around, a swim in the ocean and afterwards a refreshing drink on our stoep at the tent.
4x4 vehicle essential. A very pleasant place to stay if you don't like complexes. The beach is endless and it's just you and your companion.
I was pleasantly surprised spending three days in the tents, was good to switch off and enjoy nature. The owners and staff rendered excellent service. Recommend it for people needing to de-stress. Getting back to reality and basics was good. No TV, only radio and limited cell network was excellent to cut you off the rest of the world.
The tents are very well equipped and you really don't need to pack too much. A bit on the expensive side for what is on offer in terms of excursions and activities. The soft sand and high median make it difficult for ordinary vehicles to drive there. For older people, the sea is a bit far to walk and a 4x4 vehicle is needed to drive up to the dune. Other than that, I will definitely go back again. Minimum is 3 nights.

Uncle Reinhard and his team are truly a special bunch of people. The hospitality pours out from them. It sure is like that. Each tent is very luxurious and everything you need in a self-catering unit is there. Everything but a TV, which gives a nice getaway feeling when the children are playing in the sand. Wow! It is beautiful, the location is so stunning and so peaceful. The "tent" itself is a treat with a luxurious bed, chairs and everything you could want. Clearly someone knows what they are doing here because everything has been thought of. Rashid is on hand to help with anything and besides having great knowledge of the local wildlife he also has a wicked sense of humour. A walk along the beach and we spotted a seal playing in the water, possibly a southern right whale sighting and numerous shell fish on the beach. Best of all - we had the entire beach to ourselves. Let's hope the owners keep it small, unspoilt and doesn't lose Rashid. Safety wise, it is one of the safest places I have stayed in SA.

What better way to start the weekend than on the dunes overlooking a neverending beach with your hubby, best friend and favourite bubbly. The tent is well equipped and the braai facility cosy. Description
Comfortably furnished to accommodate up to 3 guests and comprises the main tent as well as a second adjoining tent. The large main tent is furnished with a double bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, and a toilet. The adjoining thatched-roof tent is furnished with 1 single bed and makes use of the bathroom in the main tent. The main tent has a small kitchenette equipped with a fridge, microwave, stove, and catering utensils, as well as a private braai area.

The accommodation comprises 4 luxury tents that can accommodate between 2 to 6 people. The tents are furnished with double beds or 2 single beds, and have en-suite bathrooms fitted with showers, and toilets.
Each of the tents has a small kitchenette that is equipped with a fridge, a stove, as well as the necessary catering utensils. Private braai areas are available at each of the tents, and firewood and ice are supplied.
The farm is halfway between Dwarskersbos and Elandsbaai and the nearby Verloren Vlei area which is known for its birdlife. A 400 m long private airstrip on the farm that can be used by light aircraft prior to arrangement.
These tents are located in the bush behind a sand dune, with a 500 m walk to a 40 km long unspoiled sandy beach. The beach is also accessible with a 4x4 vehicle. On the beach, you will find numerous breeding pairs of Black Oyster Catchers, Tobie, and their nests, especially during the summer months. Elandsbay is also known for its abundance of crayfish during the crayfish-catching season.
