13 guests' feedbackHad a great stay in the beautiful apartment. Everything you need and walking distance from Kleinemonde shop and beach. Beautiful view from the room and on the deck.
We were welcomed by Karin, what a personality, we felt right at home from the start. Safety is top priority here, we stayed in the apartment, and I really miss the shower in the master bedroom. I could still do my work, and go for a walk on the beach, it was nice to stay in a small place, and there was no one near us, I don't know who enjoyed it the most, the wife, dogs or me. Queries I had were dealt with quickly by Anja and Karin, and feedback was prompt. Anja, in my opinion, you have a gem here. We will book in the upper part next time, the view is just breathtaking.
The Westend really worked for my active family, scenic jogs, walks to the beach, the beach itself fishing & canoeing in the river. The house and area have the best sunsets & sunrises. Bird watchers paradise, blue cranes, fish eagles, cape loeries, sunbirds. The house is well appointed with everything you can possibly need. Then if you have found the Kruger gold store at this place, security is superb. We particularly appreciated that we could take our min pins with. They had the best holiday. The hosts, friends of hosts close by and the helpers were so helpful. Highly recommend.
A special thanks to our hostess. She went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable. The home is amazing, great decor and completely relaxing in the most beautiful setting. Will definitely go back.

We really enjoyed the weekend and the stay at Westend House! It's a beautiful house with beautiful views.
Very lovely place to stay.
Restful. No problems and safe. The service from the caretaker and owner was excellent. We had a great stay and will definitely want to stay there again in the future.
However the cleanliness was of concern.
Magnificent house in a spectacular setting. House was fully equipped and comfortable, with beautiful views. Just a pity about the housekeeping. Upswept floors. Dirty, grimy stove, microwave oven and fridge. Dirty bedding and sand in the one bed. Daddy longlegs in the other bed. Spiderwebs on the chairs. Dirty bath. Dusty windowsills. Gecko droppings everywhere. Filthy dishwashing rags and sponge. Braai area not swept. When the toilet paper ran out we asked for more and were told that only 1 roll per bathroom is provided as it is self-catering, and that we need to buy our own toilet paper. Same with the black refuse bags.
The house is breathtakingly beautiful and very private. We will definitely stay there again. It has absolutely everything and even more than you'll need. The dishwasher was the biggest blessing! Maybe you could just consider a larger TV. It rained the whole weekend and we watched rugby around the lovely fireplace.
Definitely woth the effort and money!
Would recommend Westend River House to people who love nature (plants, birds and river view). Ideal for the outdoor enthusiast or if you just want to relax in peace.
