The reception from us and the rules of the place regarding Covid were conveyed very well. Colin and Fay are great hosts and the accommodation is comfortable and spacious. The cleanliness of the place is very good and everything was spotless. Their breakfast is very good value for money in terms of the amount of dishes, and very nicely served.
Fay and Colin are truly passionate about their guesthouse. They spare no effort to make their guests feel welcome and meet all their needs. The accommodation was first class, and we can highly recommend the breakfast. Will definitely stay there again!
Wetlands Country House is a beautiful place. So much effort is made to make it homely, at home and comfortable for a person. Little things and details are taken care of. Wetlands, a place where we have to visit again.

What an amazing guest house with the nicest owners and manager. Wakkerstroom is a nice weekend destination and relatively close to Johannesburg. The current road construction on the way to Standerton is slowing the travel time.
The shed is dream accommodation and it was very special. Rita and Philip were amazing and I just want to go back. The tranquility, everything was just perfect.

We stayed in the Sheds, they are perfectly appointed and wonderfully clean. The view from our bed was such a lovely picture to wake up to. Staff are friendly and full of smiles!
We arrived at 9 o'clock in the evening due to roadworks that delayed our ride. The manager called us at about 8 o'clock to find out how far we were. When I informed him that we were still 100 km away and that we would probably not be there until 9 o'clock, he made us understand that the Lodge's gates close at 8 o'clock in the evening. He confirmed that he did not believe we would be able to enter, but that he would do his best to arrange for the gate to be opened for us. This immediately made us feel unwelcome, as we were not aware of all the roadworks, and that our journey would be delayed by an hour. We arrived at 9 hoping and trusting that we would be let in (as the gates close at 8), only to find that the gate is electronic and can be opened with a remote control? The blatant leaning over the gate was very unprofessional and it's absolutely unacceptable for us.
