Everything was perfect, the accommodation has everything that you can possibly need for a weekend away, including a beautiful sea view and safe garage parking for your vehicle. The hostess goes the extra mile to make guests feel welcome; we were even provided with the ingredients in the flat for a full breakfast: eggs, yogurt, juice, bread, butter, preserves, orange juice, milk, coffee, and tea! This is an ideal getaway for a couple for a romantic weekend. We will definitely be visiting again.

We stayed on Saldanha for 8 years in the 70s. So the expansion in that part of the West Coast was surprising for us.
Everything was perfect! Just as promised, if we could, we would give 6 or 7 stars! Marianne kept us up to date on all matters, and our stay was out of this world. If we sound over the top, it's because we cannot recommend Whale n Daisy highly enough.

Marianne has thought of everything that one would need whether travelling for business or leisure. Whale and Daisy are beautifully decorated with a variety of art pieces, so wonderful to see the work of a very talented hostess. This has been our best experience to date. Marianne has seen to it that there are eggs, bread, butter, jam, fruit juice and milk in the fridge - if you arrive on a cold and wet evening, you do not need to go out for food. There is a variety of coffee and tea available as well as every gadget you should need during your stay. Every need is catered for from outdoor furniture to a heater and electric blanket as well as a load-shedding lamp. Thank you Marianne for your utmost concern and offer of crutches to help Annatjie up the stairs. We appreciated the welcoming chalkboard at the front gate and all that you provided during our stay.

The room felt very comfortable, perfect for a couple. The bathroom was lovely (spacious) and everything was very clean and nicely decorated. There were condiments for the mornings and it was fully equipped with everything we needed. The host was very friendly and helpful! We enjoyed using the BBQ on the balcony and watching the sea view. There was a little path down to the sea (a 10-minute walk away). The town was tranquil, very small and quiet, beautiful for beach walks and a little time out.

The hostess spoiled us a lot. The only problem was she was in the place when we weren't home. She meant well, but I felt my privacy was not taken into account. We were also not informed that she could enter the place without our permission. But me and my girlfriend enjoyed our holes out.
We spent a great, peaceful long weekend doing exactly we need to recharge our batteries. Absolutely nothing but read good books, chill out, watch TV, eat junk food and look out at the sea. Batteries completely recharged for the next 6 months of 2022. Host catered to our every needs and we would definitely return.
The extra snacks, service, helpfulness and friendliness surprised us. We regret we couldn't stay longer. A must for any traveler or vacationer.

The only regret I have is not discovering Whale n Daisy sooner. The accommodation is situated perfectly and surrounded by all major attractions. The hosts are amazing and even treated us to a surprise. The cottage is fitted with everything you need and all minor needs are accommodated. The surrounding views are breathtaking with a clear view over the ocean, harbour, and other attractions. There is no other place I would rather stay than at the Whale n Daisy. It was love at first sight. There is so much more I can say, but the only way to truly appreciate it is by visiting the place and experiencing it for yourself. Amazing. ️

For the reasonable price one does not expect what Whale n Daisy offers. It's clean, tidy, comfortable, safe and felt like a home away from home. We haven't had such a good time in a long time. The room and facilities are so comfortable and Marianne's warm personality and caring heart made us feel right at home. The style and atmosphere definitely made our weekend. It's the first place to hang out that persuades me to stay in rather than paint the streets red. Parking is also very safe.

We went there for a mid week getaway and we got much more than expected. A nice big spacious room with a lovely double bed and shower and bath. Marianne is warm and inviting and has it all laid out for you. Braai facilities and basic kitchen stuff. She even kept us stocked with rusks and bread and fresh fruit and juice for breakfast. A 2 minute walk from secluded beach and around the corner from a Spar and coffee shop. It was a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I loved our stay and we loved the room, which was large, private, clean and very comfortable and not to mention the R1m view of the ocean. Marianne was a lovely hostess, very informative and friendly and gave us privacy.
