The lounge area features a ceiling fan, a TV, and board and card games. Outside, there is a private deck with 2 chairs to relax and enjoy the sunsets. Off-street parking is provided. Braai facilities are available to guests. WiFi is available

Thanks to Jan who went the proverbial extra mile to accommodate a late request. It is appreciated. A little extra storage space for groceries would be a plus.

I had a great stay at Whale of a time. Moray met me with a friendly smile and showed me all the amenities. The room did get fairly hot in the afternoon, even with the fans on.

The host was friendly and informative. The accommodation was beautifully thought out and very pleasing. It was spotlessly clean with lovely extras such as card games, books, milk in the fridge, rusks ans info on the area. Situated in quiet part of town overlooking the forest in a lovely garden. We did not use it but there was a cadac braai for our use. I give this place 10/10 and will definately be back for a longer stay.
What a warm and welcoming experience. Jan and Moray are lovely hosts and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and relaxed. The unit is very private, clean, cosy and well-equipped with everything you need for a short or long term stay. The view of the forest is beautiful. Jan is very informative about the surroundings and we could not even visit all the lovely places he suggested, so we will have to return again soon. It was difficult to say goodbye, but A Whale of a Time will definitely see us again in the near future.

The hosts are extremely hospitable and will to go the extra bit to make the stay more pleasant. Extremely clean which is a huge plus for me as I am OCD. They have thought of everything for their guests' comfort.
Owners are very friendly. Unit may be too hot on summer days with higher temperatures. No air conditioning. Gas geyser is a challenge to regulate water temperature in shower. Unit is spacious & stair arrangement is wide.
