The unit comprises 3 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 persons at a time. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, bath, toilet and basin. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom has 2 single beds. These bedrooms share a separate bathroom with a bath, shower, toilet and basin.
The kitchen is equipped with all of the mod-cons needed for a care-free, self-catering stay. The lounge has comfortable seating and a TV. There is an elevator which makes accessing the top floor a breeze.
There is also a communal swimming pool and braai facilities for guests' use. For added security, there is a 24-hour guard on the premises and secure parking for guests' vehicles.
There are well-maintained pedestrian walkways where guests can enjoy a stroll or jog and have access to the beach.

7 guests' feedbackI stay very well, no complaints, but in the future please put carpet in the bedroom because it is too cold during the winter.
Whale Rock no. 32 is not well equipped at all, although the unit is modern. Kitchen: only 1 small pot and 1 small pan for cooking purposes. There are not enough glasses and the utensils are inadequate. Living room couches extremely uncomfortable. Patio's wooden table and benches extremely uncomfortable. No pillows or anything to sit on. Bedroom pillows are in a terrible state. We had to buy our own pillows to be able to sleep comfortably. The one bedroom containing a double bed has a broken bed. We had to prop him up with a brick. For the price we paid, the unit is definitely not worth it.
The only improvement would be aircon or even fans.

The elevator didn't work, there were no wine glasses, and the bedding, lacks new ones.
Whale Rock 32 was peaceful if you just want to rest. For teenagers there was not much to do and had to drive to nearby towns for the teenagers. For just relaxing and being peaceful, Whale Rock 32 is just the place.

In addition to the rates in the table above, this property also charges a once-off R390 admin fee and a R350 cleaning fee per booking.

House rules
A refundable breakage deposit of R1300 is payable and will be refunded into the guest's account within 10 days after departure if there have been no breakages.The breakage deposito is compulsory has to be paid to Markon Rentals via EFT. You will receive an invoice from Markon Rentals shortly after confirming the booking. The deposit has to be paid 4 weeks before the arrival date. Guests will not be allowed to enter the unit before all fees and deposits have been paid. No cash transactions are allowed on the premises.
Please note that the cleaning fee that is charged is a departure cleaning and linen fee. It is not for cleaning services during your stay.
An extra daily cleaning service is available at R200 per day. This has to be organised beforehand. This is only a basic cleaning service. It is not a full day cleaning service.
No extra guests above the number of beds will be allowed to stay in the apartment. If extra guests are found, immediate eviction will follow.
Smoking is not allowed in the units.
No laundry may be hung over the balcony railing.
Please keep music and noise volume on an acceptable level.
Check in is at 14:00. Unfortunately we can't accommodate anyone earlier during the holidays. During low season you can arrange with us to ensure that the unit is available earlier.
Check out strictly by 09:00.
The lady who handles the check in procedure is called Louise. Her number will be sent to you on confirmation. Please make arrangements with her beforehand to get the keys and check you in. She does not live on the premises permanently so it is important to confirm your check in time with her. Please send Heliose and Markon Rentals 1 or 2 alternative contact numbers.
We do not provide towels so please bring your own bath and swimming towels.
One small dog is allowed in the unit. The dog remains the responsibility of the guest. It may not bother the other guests and has to be house-trained.
No washing and/or towels must be hung on the balcony.
