Even though we had bad weather for the first couple of days, we were very cosy and still able to watch whales from inside the house. Irma made us feel very welcome and was super accommodating! Thank you, and we’ll definitely see you again!

We really enjoyed the sea view. The water pressure was excellent and we were all able to enjoy a nice hot shower without any problem. The rooms and beds are extremely comfortable. The owner Jac contacted us regularly and so did the management (Irma) of Whale Sea to make sure everything was in order. The service was excellent and the accommodation was top notch. The only negative was that the knives were not sharp enough.
Beautiful setting, personal touch, and service by the host has been great. Definitely be back soon.
We had a wonderful stay at Whale Sea cottage. The house is lovely and the porch is amazing. Only for the veranda (with the pool) I can recommend it.
We can't wait to go again. Loadshedding had no impact because they are equipped with solar. Full DStv package, so we could watch rugby and F1. The view and sound of the ocean and waves is incredible. It's a lovely holiday home with a swimming pool, outdoor barbecue and indoor barbecue.

The view was incredible. And we loved the indoor fireplace on those chilli nights. The house is literally across the road, which leads to a beautiful path along the coast. Great morning walks. The house is spacious and it has everything you need.
Whale Sea Accommodation was amazing! The view was spectacular! The service from the 2 ladies was excellent, they showed us around and made sure we were fully accommodated and happy with the place, they also recommended so many places to visit on our stay. 10 star service. Everything as advertised is what we got and more than expected.

Quiet area, you can take walks to the beach and drive through Gansbaai to view the awesome scenery of the harbour, etc. Will definitely come back, to enjoy the pool, weather was not suitable this time. Enjoyed relaxing on the patio, easing into the relaxed mood of not hearing cars speeding and traffic congestion. Just peace and tranquility. Thanks for an amazing time.
Stunning accommodation!
The stay was great. It was a much-needed break and catchup with extended family. The hosts were very welcoming although having driven up from Cape Town on Friday, Irma could have been more accommodating when I arrived 15 minutes ahead of the 14:00 arrival time. She insisted that we wait till 14:00 before letting us in. There were a few small touches which were unexpected. Some chocolates and a bottle of wine.
We as a family had a great time here for 10 days. The fresh flowers were a pleasant surprise. The complimentary cleaning was lovely. The heated pool is incredibly nice. We enjoyed everything very much. If I could make any recommendations it would be regarding instant storage and kitchenware. We struggled with three of the sliding doors. Deck could do with varnish - splinters already stick in hands and feet. In the kitchen (especially when on holiday during the festive season) a whisk (electric or manual), a good bottle opener and a crock pot are needed. But apart from bg recommendations, our visit was wonderful.
We had a great weekend and the place had everything we needed. There was even a nice bunch of flowers on arrival. The place is beautiful with the most beautiful views and everything looks exactly as the pictures show. It is clean, tidy and we were very comfortable. The location of the house with pool is "spot on", can sit on deck and enjoy tranquility. House is spacious and well equipped and space. Indoor and outdoor barbecue facilities a big bonus. Enough bathrooms for larger families. Can enjoy surroundings and walking/jogging routes available. Service was excellent.

Nice to have the benefit of solar so loadshedding wasn't an issue. Found the furniture around the TV area a little hard and uncomfortable, but that is a personal comment. Nice, large deck to watch the sunset and the whales in the bay. Despite the time of year, the kids and their dad enjoyed the pool.

The house is lovely. Neatly clean with everything needed. The children really enjoyed the pool and the dogs could run around the whole garden. We will go again for sure! A fantastic place.
The service was prompt and friendly. Everything in the house was tidy and the necessary kitchen items were all there. The braai facilities are nice and big and everyone can hang out together on the deck at the braai with a beautiful view of the sea. View of the sea is beautiful.
Would definitely go again, the house is also dog friendly with a lovely swimming pool for the summer. Maybe add 1 more toilet if 7 people stay there. Just make sure you get the R1000 deposit before you leave (in case nothing broke).
We had an absolutely fantastic time at Lagieverf! My only small complaint is that the couches in the lounge are uncomfortable. Not suitable for a TV room. Other than that it was great value for our money.
What a wonderful place. Definitely one of the most beautiful places we've ever been to. Everything is amazing. The kids enjoyed their holes while we were sitting on the veranda with the most beautiful views.

This is a spacious, well-equipped house for a weekend with children and grandchildren. It's located on the sea and we could thoroughly enjoy the whales! Just note: it's not a brick house, so noises are audible throughout the house. A dishwasher would be welcome! There is an alarm and laser beams, use it at night!

Wir schätzten die guten Betten, den sauberen Pool, das high-quality Inventar - es war einfach nur herrlich! We would have liked to have stayed longer. We can only recommend this accommodation, even with small children.
Very neat and clean. The house has everything one will need. Die hostess is very nice and helpful. Die view over the ocean is breathtaking and the swimming pool is a real treat for the children. However, I think that if one is to stay for longer than a weekend, the fridge/freezer might be a little small, but it is really the only thing that can be changed. We had a lovely stay!

We stayed for one week at Lagie Verf and it was FANTASTIC! The view is to die for. We spent a lot of time at the swimming pool and on the deck. The house was well equipped and very tidy, beautifully furnished and spacious enough for all 7 of us. We went early in December and the weather was awesome. The house faces towards Hermanus and is well protected from the wind.

Lagie Verf is absolutely sublime, definitely value for money and so many fun activities to do. The set-up of the house was beautiful, nice quiet surroundings and so convenient. The owners are so helpful as well. I must say we loved it.
Lagie Verf is a little bit of paradise. We went as a group and enjoyed soaking up the sun on the lovely wooden deck. We were treated to spectacular views and were blessed with viewings of a large school of dolphins on the passing by. Our host Karin was absolutely lovely. We Thank you Karin for sharing your little bit of paradise with us. We will be coming back as a family very soon.

We hired Lagie Verf as a group of friends for a weekend. The location is perfect, with the most beautiful sea view and very nice pool and deck for relaxing. The house is comfortable and stylish. There is more than enough of everything one needs, kitchenware, seating, even wood for the braai fire. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are beautifully covered with crisp white bed linen. The cottage offers nice private sleeping accommodation for 3 couples, and two of the rooms have a sea view. I would recommend this cottage to ANYONE, we will definitely be going back again!
