The complex offers a communal swimming pool and braai facilities. Secure parking is provided, and there is an additional visitors parking bay.

13 guests' feedbackWe had a great stay, but only 1 roll of toilet paper was left for 4 people. This makes it very uncomfortable, especially if you don't know the area and need to drive urgently. It is self-catering, but I think coffee, sugar and milk can be left for guests. The apartment needs some attention, but otherwise the sea view is fantastic.
Fresh air, smell. The sea. See the sea. Very nice and peaceful.
Stayed here. There was no good communication. Also had to wait quite a while to check in. The number was also wrong from the agent. And there were no barbecue facilities on the deck, had to go and buy barbecue equipment myself. Had to go and buy wine glasses myself. DStv was turned off in my children's face that night. The sliding door was broken and the curtains. Also had to go buy my own toilet paper. The agent did not know about my residency when I asked questions for my deposit. Sent an email about my deposit but got no response. Still waiting for my deposit.
We were very disappointed. No communication with the owner. Made many calls upon arrival but the owner did not pick up. There were breakages that we reported, but the owner did not respond. Towels and blankets need upgrading. We went to buy our own, as well as our own cleaning products, dishcloths, air freshener, etc.
When we were on our way and contacted the owner she advised that she did not get any confirmation and that her apartment is fully booked for the weekend. She said that there is a problem with the website confirming dates that are already booked. I told her that I made a payment for the weekend and it was confirmed and I got a confirmation back, I told her that we are 30 minutes away and I have 2 children with me and we have nowhere else to stay. She then said that this was not her problem and that we could just stay the Friday night but must check out the next morning. I told her that this was very unprofessional and her tone. I called the owner back and she said oh yes that is still open. Not once did she even say sorry or apologise. She just said her cleaner would open for us. When we got there the cleaner was there to give us the keys. After about an hour we were met by ants and cockroaches coming out of the kitchen cupboards. I then sent the cleaner a message to ask what was happening here. She said that the owner had to get someone to fumigate the place but it was not done yet. We were really upset about this. My husband wanted to leave with the kids but we had nowhere to go so late. My kids were scared to sleep thinking they would crawl over them in their sleep. Then Saturday morning my husband was opening the sliding door and one of the screws came out and the glass on top of the door came loose. We informed the cleaner but the owner then sent a message about 2 hours later and said it was too late to send out someone and that we should just handle to door with caution. The coaches in the lounge are hard and also not comfortable to sit on for long. They should upgrade.
We were not received by anyone when we arrived after someone would have received us. When we called the owner, she was very impatient when she had to explain how we got the door open. There was no WiFi, nor toilet paper in the toilet, as advertised. When I called the owner she wanted me to call to sort out the WiFi. The TV didn't work either, and we only had 1 channel late on Saturday afternoon.
Firstly, it takes her 4 hours to activate the DSTV, so I then miss Sunday's cricket and rugby. Second, she didn't respond to my third message about the microwave not working until 11 o'clock the next morning. Not until another day later does she bring another microwave. Third, we were without wifi until the third day. Not once did she apologize for her late responses or the inconvenience we endured. Her arrogant reply was "I am not at your beck and call". Better stay away. There are other places to stay in the same complex that are cheaper.
My sister had an accident when we walked on the footpath where there was no railing. She fell straight down onto her face and arms. After a long battle getting her to safety we had to carry her to our car. It was our very first day and the owner of 51 Whale View blatantly refused to refund us at all. She did not even wanted to give us a day or two before paying our breakage deposit and being so cruel will never ever get a good report from me or my family. We left in such a hurry that we actually left all our meat in the freezer which I told the housekeeper she can keep.
We booked Whale View because of the main picture - view of the ocean, and some supported pics. These are good and are the actual pics. Ocean view is awesome, 180 degree and the angle of the waves crashing against the rocks really awesome. Beds were very comfy and we slept very comfortably. The security guy at entry was exceptionally professional and friendly, helpful and a great first contact on site. We were awakened with the sound of maintenance at 8:30 am (drilling against the wall behind my bed) while this won't happen to everyone, I am not happy that they booked me into a place where they knew my wake-up call would be the sound of a power-drill. We arrived on a chilly winters afternoon. There are no heaters / heating provided (no heaters or bed warmer electric blankets). Our guests had to use the blankets to stay warm and enter cold beds (at this price, a warm blanket would be a great idea!). We were comparing this place to others in the same area, and the value for money is questionable when you consider a self catering apartment (2 bedroom), with and "out of main town area" location, to those in town, with a similar / better view, and better things within view or walking distance. The price wasn't justified - even without the noisy wake-up call. While the picture shows you are "right on the beach", most people will have a few cottages before them - privately owned. So your access to the beach is around these privately owned cottages. The view is elevated, so you see the ocean and everything, but the perception of on the beach is different to mine.- Couches seem dated - have covers on them, allowing them to be protected, but it seems tacky - wasn't a fan. The couch in the picture, with a throw-over on them.
The advert was for a ground floor unit which is 20m from the sea. However, the unit is on the first floor and much further than 20 m from the sea. The rate I paid did not justify what was advertised at all. Big disappointment at double the price of other units in the "estate".
