The place was small, but comfortable. Air conditioning worked well, water was hot and the place was neat and clean. The food was very tasty and would definitely be recommended. Perhaps only amplifiers could be installed for the WiFi in the more distant rooms, but otherwise we are very satisfied. The service was very good and the staff were very friendly. Thank you very much.
Impractical with dogs. No privacy due to party in front of our room door. The room was not clean and we had to ask for towels. There were bad ants everywhere. The food was of good quality and the bed was perfect.
Got there after 8. Everything was closed and no one to help me, so I was forced to drive on to find other accommodation! As already requested to the owner, can I get a refund please?

The shower door does not seal properly and leaves the bathroom floor wet after each use. The toilet does not flush properly. Have to flush it about 4 - 5 times.

On my arrival the lodge did not know of my booking from and it was mentioned it has happened before. Despite the misunderstanding staff complied with my booking and email of payment and confirmation was sent to them.
I will not recommend to a friend or family to stay at the lodge, it is managed like a shop. I and my family did not really like staying there for the 2 nights. It seems as is if the lodge is only for the people that only sleep just for the night. On our arrival, I had to argue with them for my place. I booked for a self catering unit, but they wanted to offer me something else. I think only money is what they want. We had to ask them to clean the room before we moved in, but they knew there will be guest that night in that room.
Good value for money, pleasant restaurant and service was good. Facilities are a bit dated and cold.
First thing we noticed in our room was that the aircon remote was missing its back part so batteries kept falling out. Not an issue, really. Then, one of the lights didn't work. Deal breaker: the toilet didn't flush. Are these not all things you check before you book guests into a room? I went to call the lady at reception, then she tells me it might be because the town's water is off. Is that not something you bring to your guest's attention the moment you book them in? Kind of important information, don't you think? Anyway, turned out the water wasn't down, the toilet just didn't work - which brings me back to the very important point of checking the room before you check guests into the room! They then moved us to another room, which was, as the first one, quite frankly not the cleanest place I've ever stayed in. We had to move all our own bags and stuff, they didn't even offer to assist. We stayed in 4 places during our holiday - this was the most expensive one, and by far the most disappointing. A plunger in the room would have been really nice (we had our own coffee). The restaurant's service is poor, and we found it unfriendly. The food was good though, so compliments to the chef.

We received a very warm welcome and had a pleasant stay.
We slept over on the way to Kimberley on New Year's Eve. First we had to walk through the bar with our kids to book in, no one really knew what was going on. There was a group of guests partying at the pool and the owner said that they would probably calm down just after 12. Wrong. They continued until after 3.
We really enjoyed our overnight stay there, but must mention that we were very surprised that there was no kettle for making coffee. We also had to go and buy coffee and milk. Luckily the Spar was just across the street. Jenna was kind enough to get us a kettle, but apparently it's not included in the price. There were also no towels in the room and again we were told that they were not included in the price. Jenna was very very helpful when we kicked up a fuss and brought us both with a smile but we found it really funny.
Great for an overnight stay, Sunday buffet was what we would call good homemade ‘boerekos’. Only downside was the heat in the room where we dished up the buffet. An Aircon would be a benefit.
We traveled as a family with a baby and 2 puppies and were very tired upon arrival. The reception was friendly and personal. We ate deliciously and received good service. Everyone went out of their way to make our life easier. You will see us again!
WhyNot is conveniently located within Bloemhof. It has a neat and calm atmosphere. Definitely a nice place to stay that won't cost you an arm and a leg.

I honestly would have always had someone at reception, made sure that reception is sure that the room is ready before we get there, the gate that you have to push open when you drive in and out might be an inconvenience for guests. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and the prices very reasonable!

Very cute and spicy! Museum was very interesting. Food was very nice. Across the road from Spar, so it's easy to walk quickly and buy the next day's drinks for the road! Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere in the evening!
Upon our arrival, the unit we booked was not available. After ± half an hour of scrambling we were able to engage a unit. Unit was acceptable and clean, but only 3 coffee mugs and no teaspoons in kitchen. Staff were friendly and helpful.
