9 guests' feedbackWickenshuis did not indicate on the website that we had to share a toilet and bathroom. It does mention that the kitchen and lounge are for communal use. There was no water, ice or small treat (cheap chocolate bar?), no soap in the bathroom, or shampoo. The door latch was broken, luckily the lock worked. Only one bedside lamp and that didn't have a power plug. No information sheet about the facilities, so we don't even know if there was wifi available. Now about Pofadder himself: I know the owners of the house can do little about the following, but in any case I just want to issue a warning to prospective visitors. Outside the house (the last house in the street), at the end of the street, the rubbish is scattered thickly. In fact, it looks the same throughout the town. The roads are so full of potholes that you have to drive along the side of the road. I have not seen such a level of neglect by a municipality for a long time. My wife and I booked two nights in Wickenshuis and paid in full in advance, as we had photography plans for the day. However, after one night we moved on and stayed at a different location, writing off the 2nd night's fees to experience.
Friendly, really pleasure to spend the night there.
The mosquitoes were a problem (everywhere in the Northern Cape after the good rains).

Clean and neat accommodation in a very small town. We had everything we needed and they were very accommodating for extra requests. Very happy with the large room.
Great place, with access to the bigger house and kitchen which was good. The shower needs fixing, The town has nothing to do really. It was a stopover for us. There is a cool burger place in town which you should not miss.
