Wilcre's Blouberg Home provided everything we needed. The place was neat and clean. The environment was very quiet and safe and there is a shopping complex nearby. The kitchen is well equipped; there is a washing machine and dishwasher which made it very comfortable. We checked in ourselves and the instructions were very clear. Load shedding is always a challenge, but the WiFi worked on a backup battery and there were enough portable lights to use. Apart from the tarpaulin on the porch which needs some attention, our stay was wonderful! Bloubergstrand is only 5 km from the place - what a treat!
Best holiday stay!! The house is well-maintained, and the owner is friendly even with our check-in and check-out time. I highly recommend this place, beautiful location close to all amenities. A true home away from home.
The house itself was fine except the bathroom floors became very slippery on glossy tiles when wet. The master bed sink was only approximately 30x30cm, resulting in a wet floor. No bath mat in the family bath or master ensuite resulted in a near accident when a pensioner slipped on the wet floor. Not as fully equipped as described, only 4 breakfast bowls and no tea plates for a family of 6, and not enough towels for 6, resulting in relays for breakfast and rationing and sharing of towels for showers. No table in the garden, so we could not eat out there. No tea towel in the kitchen. When speaking to the host, who we never met, only on WhatsApp, she argued back that we were being difficult and wrong, and refused to even come out to check our complaints. Choosing instead to believe her helper, I chose to engage her no further and we just left on our last morning having never even met her face to face. In all, I'd say she's a very rude person to be dealing with paying guests. We were 6 people for 3 nights and she should have at least addressed our concerns in person. Will certainly not use them again.
