Just around the block from Harbour Road in a quiet street is The Wild Fig Guest House, a small guest house with, as its outstanding feature, its very homely ambiance. It comprises two guest units which can sleep six adults and perhaps 2 small children in total.
The Wild Fig Guest House is just 2 minutes' easy strolling away from where the waves are breaking on the rocks and about 15 minutes on the board walk will bring you to the sandy Palmiet beach and, at the river mouth, a lovely lagoon which lends itself to swimming, splashing and canoeing. Farther up the river there are picnic spots and lovely deep water swimming. Bicycles available for local exploring.
About 5 minutes' drive brings you to our world famous Blue Flag beach on the other side of Kleinmond where there is also a lagoon and canoes to rent for rowing up the Bot River in search of our famous wild horses.

Place was nice and clean and the facilities good.
We had a very nice stay. Was very neat. And the owner is very helpful. Walking distance from places to eat and our two dogs were also welcome.

I had a great time. I didn't have loadshedding because there was always light except for the last night when loadshedding caused the problem that the power then went off and something went wrong. But I had a very nice stay, it was peaceful and what I was looking for. Nice lying in bed and watching TV. Didn't know WIFI was available.
Kettle had rust in it. Cups had a brown rim. The house had a terrible smell in the mornings. Not much light when entering at night. Just need a good refurbishing.

Just slept there, was with family all day. Slept well, the sea can be seen and one can hear the sea from where we stayed. Very friendly service, there were all the facilities in the apartment.
The location was good as it was not important for us to be close to the swimming beach. We rented both units and upon arrival the larger unit was not very clean (which was soon addressed by owner) and smaller unit was very clean. In my opinion the unit that was dirty was rather an exceptional case and not standard practice. Plus points were units were well equipped, close to walking paths with a partial sea view.
Adele was very willing to help and was available immediately when we couldn't get DStv to work. The location was great and we had such a nice stay!
Value for money, apartment was very tidy, had everything you need inside, was nice and quiet and peaceful, we also really enjoyed the excellent hospitality of the owners.
We talked a bit with the owner of the place and decided that next time we will come with more family members, there is enough room. Thank you.

The house is perfect for a family, lots of space, well located, quite central to the town and the harbour, a bit from the beach but not a problem at all to drive to the beach. Very friendly hosts, very helpful, make a lot of effort to make our visit as pleasant as possible. Really amazing place.
The lady was a bit confused because there were 4 of us and not 3 and brought extra bedding. The "granny flat" was a bit small for 2 small children and the weather was not ideal for playing outside. I definitely recommend it for a couple and not for a family with small children. There is no room to move. Will definitely go to Kleinmond again, but will keep an eye on bigger house options.
The guest house is well located with many restaurants and shops nearby in Harbor Street, the units are fully equipped and very nice and clean. Mariette is a very friendly hostess!
It is wonderfully close to the places of interest and shops where everything happens. The footpath to the sea and the mouth of the river has beautiful scenery and is very close to the house. The house is clean and comfortable and the children were very happy about the WiFI, DSTV and especially the dishwasher. We can definitely recommend it. It is affordable and good value for money.
Short visit, had to look for accommodation quickly and we were lucky enough to find Wild Fig, walking distance from where I had to be that night. Room is comfortable, Nicole's communication and organisation made the accommodation very comfortable.

A very neat place. We were well received and the hospitality is top notch.
The little flat is delightfully private, tidy and warm in the cold weather; there was dish TV available. I did miss a tray and dishcloth, as well as a bread board... but that's the least of it. Wish we could stay there for a week or longer. Maybe in the future! It's close to the sea and cute shops.
Literally the only criticism I can make is the ad doesn't make it clear that the unit shares a bathroom door with the house itself. It was an excellent weekend in a wonderful little town!
