We were two colleagues on a business trip and had a pleasant stay at Wildnut Lodge and Game Farm. The staff were friendly, and we felt welcome. We had the house for ourselves with private rooms. A fully equipped kitchen is available to use. The bar is stocked, and what you take gets written up for payment before you leave. Outside is a landscaped garden on an elevated part of the farm, and game roams freely along the fence. A boma that overlooks Louis Trichardt has a wash basin, water, good lighting, space for a large crowd, two braai areas and lots of wood. The fire was started by staff, and we enjoyed the open-air experience. Good value for money.
Comfortable rooms in the lodge although the bathroom is shared (we were the only guests so not a problem). Reception was super friendly and a delicious breakfast was served the next morning. The road to the farm is not recommended for low vehicles.
We had a wonderful stay. The place is absolutely a pleasure court and a little bit of paradise.
It was a very nice house with a nice kitchen, a large reception area and a beautiful garden, the owners were very helpful. I would recommend that you stay in the more luxurious rooms, our room was a bit small, but none the less we enjoyed our trip very much.
Lovely spacious accommodation. Beautiful surroundings. Very neat and well equipped. Access road can be a problem for sedan cars, especially in wet conditions.
There were some challenges in finding the lodge. There were no clear signs from the main road, and the location pin sent was not accurate, which caused me to get lost finding the lodge.
The House is beautiful, very spacious with enough space for a group of people, would be a great family getaway in nature.
We slept well and ate deliciously. And the silence was a plus after a long day of driving.
We were excited driving in as it is situated in a beautiful location. Upon arrival we were sadly disappointed. The front door is a safety concern as it has a gaping hole under the door knob which could easily be tampered with from the outside. The rooms are dark, uncomfortable and not clean. There is a communal bathroom (filthy) shared between guests which is not as advertised. When being shown around and a request was made for a room with an en-suite bathroom, staff stated that "we don't let our guests stay in those rooms as they are not very nice" yet the rooms were being advertised. We left and had to look for another safe and clean location to stay. Would not recommend it.
Wildnut Lodge has all the facilities needed for a business trip. The beautiful garden, animals and bird life created a very peaceful atmosphere to recharge batteries and start the new day. Thanks to Sophie who looked after me and my colleagues very well.

The place had a clogged up toilet and another toilet that was dirty from the previous guests. There were bees in the ceiling so it didn't feel safe at all. The place also didn't feel clean at all.
The lodge is well maintained and the immediate feeling one experiences is relaxation. I loved the customer service, Jodine was a pleasant host and was attentive to my needs. It is ideal for any type of traveller. Good for isolation and also for groups. I intend on going there again and this time hopefully stay for a longer period.
Ideal place for family get-togethers!
The cleaning service was not quite up to standard. Because it rained one would expect clean/dry towels more often, which did not happen at all in 8 days. Dishes were washed, but left on the sink just like that. No shower curtain in showers which makes it very dangerous with the wet floors, this was brought to owner's attention but nothing was done about it. We bought and put up our own shower curtain. Electricity is not grounded so there is a big problem, several power plugs are not inserted correctly or just have wires sticking out. Large beehive on unit roof allowing many bees in unit.
