We were personally received at the gate, and taken to our home. The house has everything we needed, neat and ready when we arrived. Cleaning service was on their post the next morning and the whole house was cleaned. We will definitely come again.

Had a wonderful weekend, the weather didn't necessarily cooperate completely. We love Clarens very much. Had a wonderful stay in Diaan's house. I contacted him about a few niggles afterwards but would stay there again anytime. A view over the town would have been very nice though.
We struggled with the WiFi connection and network. Can the owner make a plan for fibre or WiFi?
Two beautiful units that are stylishly furnished. Gas stove a big yes and kitchen is well equipped. Would recommend that there are more dishcloths and a washcloth, as well as a vegetable mess.

We really enjoyed the visit in Clarens and will definitely visit there again this year for a weekend.
We enjoyed our stay at Willow Villas, however, compared to other houses on the Golf Course that we've stayed at before, this one ranked lowest. The kitchen was not 100% clean, the rooms were a bit dirty (we moved the two single bed mattresses onto the floor for our small children and saw how dirty the carpets were underneath the beds) and the towels were tatty and need replacing. For 'sleep only' accommodation, not much more is required and they are lovely little cottages. A random thing - there are no hooks to hang bath towels - in the bathroom or in the bedrooms.

Location, scenery and tranquillity were all perfect.
It was a pleasant stay. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious, with plenty of cupboard space. The layout of the unit offers a lot of privacy for a party of 4. However, there was no hot water when we arrived as the geyser was only switched on upon our arrival. Two of our guests had to take a cold shower on the first evening. Additionally, there was no WiFi, which was disappointing for a 4-star establishment. The fridge didn't close properly due to a frost build-up, so we had to remove the drawer to use it. The TV can only be viewed by 2 people using the couch as it is in a cabinet. Other than these issues, the garage was a plus and everything else worked well. Access to the estate was easy, and the braai and patio area were very pleasant.

Our host, Diaan, welcomed us kindly after which he accompanied us to the unit. Special effort was made to make us feel at home. There was welcome sherry and chopped wood with lighters for the fireplace. The unit was very nice and clean, neatly equipped with everything you need. There is underfloor heating in the bedrooms as well as electric blankets on the beds. The unit was tastefully furnished. Cleaning services were also included. We would definitely recommend the unit and on our next visit to Clarens, we will definitely check again if we can find a place here.

We had a very nice weekend at Willow Villas at the end of Nov 2022. The unit is well located and equipped and it's very relaxing to stay in the Golf & Trout Estate. It's safe, quiet, close to town. Only bad thing is that the estate doesn't really have rules about loud music, so there were a few people now and then who were having a good time. Cabinets in the kitchen need a wet cloth and upper corners of roof need dusting, but other than that our stay was very nice and we will definitely use Willow Villas again.
We enjoyed ourselves and the units are easily accessible. We had a nice view on both sides of the unit. Place was very clean. We will book same place when we visit Clarens again.

With the first cold front we were a little anxious to be in Clarens, but we were pleasantly surprised that the cottage was so cozy and warm. With electric blankets on all the beds and a fireplace with wood provided, we didn't get cold for a moment.
Our guest was very friendly and helpful. The cleaning service was a bit disappointing - we were out early and by late morning the house had not been serviced. Only a portion of the dishes had been washed and the rest not cleaned. The unit also does not have a small safe. We would love to lock up valuables and think it would definitely be an asset. Apart from the latter, it was a fantastic weekend.
Diaan went out of his way to make our stay awesome. Even booked us dinner for 2 for our anniversary at a very nice restaurant. We will definitely be coming back in the future. Nice and central to get to see all the surrounds but nice and peaceful as place of accommodation so you can come home and just relax.

Diaan was truly a generous host, allowing us to move things around to facilitate our group activities and meditation. Thank you for helping us with arranging babysitting (Ms. Mpati was a great help) and for the charcoal. The walking trails at sunset were breathtaking.
A beautiful location and nice unit. Unfortunately, the unit had not been properly cleaned for a while. There were dirty handprints on the glass balustrades, layers of dust, sticky marks on the floors and surfaces, most of the dinnerware is mismatched and chipped, dirty oven gloves in a drawer and marked cushion covers and a promised cleaning service and dishwasher tablets never arrived. We were left disappointed and wouldn't recommend it.
Unit equipped with everything that can be expected and was tidy. However, the towels were washed through and some even had holes in them. Then the unit stank of smoke, especially curtains in living room - probably coming from the fireplace. When the doors were closed it was unbearable. Expect better, especially at a premium.

Willow Rest Villas consist of 2, semi-detached units accommodating 4 guests each. Each villa has 2 bedrooms sharing a bathroom with a double shower. The main bedroom has a king-sized bed and opens via sliding doors onto a tiled deck. The second bedroom has 2 single beds which can be converted to a king-sized bed. The Willow Rest Villas each contain a built-in fireplace in the living area with heating in the bathrooms. Covered parking is available for these 2 villas. Each villa is fully equipped kitchen features a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, kettle, microwave and dishwasher.
