Windsong at Waterberg Cottages is self-catering accommodation for 11 situated on a 2,500ha private game reserve, half an hour from Vaalwater, in the Waterberg, Limpopo. This historical cottage is the original home of the Baber family and retains many pioneer features, including an expansive verandah that lends itself to outdoor living. Set in beautiful gardens with mature trees, the cottage can accommodate 11 guests in 4 bedrooms.

One bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom (with shower), a second bedroom has a king size bed, and an additional single bed and an en-suite bathroom (with bath), and two further bedrooms are furnished with 3 single beds each, with separate bath, shower and two toilets at the end of a passage. There is a further cottage close by which can be used as an overflow for an additional four guests by special arrangement. This additional overflow cottage has a bedroom with a king-size double bed and a bedroom with two single beds. The two bedrooms share a bathroom. (Further accomodation can be provided in two other cottages in the garden that need to be booked separately through Lekkeslaap. In all, Waterberg Cottages has room for 26 guests sharing an extensive garden)

The kitchen arrangement of Windsong is idiosyncratic with an inner kitchen for storage with a fridge/freezer, microwave and a wash basin, and an additional oustide kitchen with a second fridge/freezer, sink and gas stove. The kitchens are fully equipped with kettles, toaster, pots and pans, cutlery and crockery.

The living area has a comfortable lounge suite with a fireplace and a dining room table with room for 6. On the verandah is a table with bench seating for 12 and there is another similar table on the lawn in the garden. The sunken braai area is conveniently close to the verandah and is equipped with chairs for those who would like to sit around the fire.

The cottage lends itself to group bookings and in consultation with the owners, additional crockery and cutlery can be provided.

Activities on the farm include swimming in the 15m semi-heated pool, horse-riding, game drives, bushwalks and on clear nights, night sky safaris, very popular star shows presented by the owner. For children, there is an adventure playground, a trampoline, pony rides and donkey cart rides. The soft sand in our sandpits is perfect for beach toys. Groups can also enjoy playing volleyball.
