The Karoo silence is truly palpable on this guest farm. The cottage is wonderfully spacious, furnished with character and makes you feel right at home. The hospitable reception by Stephanie and the explanation of everything was really excellent. The fire in the evenings and the splash pool are a bonus.

The stay here was wonderful. We just sat on the porch all day and watched the birds frolic and play in the bird bath. Even though the stove works with gas, there is power and hot water. The one couch has just been nicely put through. Take a bike and binoculars and enjoy the silence. The two large dogs are very well behaved and friendly and very much in their place.
We loved the cottage with all the memorabilia and the stoep with the perfect, peaceful view. Ashley and André are wonderful hosts and their two ridge-backs are beautiful. From the lesser double collared sunbirds in the greenery to the owls in the loft and the interesting succulents on the hill it was a total delight.
A lovely quaint converted barn with a beautiful view of the Touws River. Lots to do such as biking, walking or running in the neighbouring nature reserve or just sitting and enjoying the landscape around you.
The communication before the weekend, reception and aftercare was perfect.
We had a lovely stay in the spacious carriage house with a south-facing veranda (for shade on hot summer afternoons) and enjoying nature. Most self-catering units have one room with kitchen, dining area and bed so it was nice to have a separate bedroom for once. Two things we rarely find at self-catering facilities are a decent sharp knife and coarse salt and pepper - the carriage house had both.
We had a quiet time and had a good barbecue.
The tranquility of Wolverfontein forces one to relax immediately.
Really enjoyed the peacefulness.
A working fan in every room is essential - it's very hot there and the "bugs" at night are very annoying!
