After cancellation by other guests before the weekend, the owner upgraded us to Star Gazer for free. It was a lovely cremation and we really enjoyed the location of the house with the incredible view, the seclusion, the swimming in the farm pond which was less than 200 meters and the wood fire bath. Our two dog children were also welcome and provided with their own bowls, towels and treats. We will definitely visit again.

Beautiful setting with stunning views.
We arrived in the late afternoon and were welcomed by our hostess with directions to our unit. The unit is spacious enough to move around. We were also invited to go for a walk on the farm with our 2 dogs. What stands out, however, is the dog-friendly note with cookies and treats for the 4-legged ones as well as towels should they want to swim in the pond! Now that's great service!

Star Gazer and Sun Seeker are ideal for a family that wants to hang out together yet be apart. Lovely fireplaces and beautiful views.
The unit is part of the same building as "Sun Seeker", but the owner usually does not rent out the other unit at the same time. Nevertheless, even if both are rented at the same time, one can still have good privacy. The views are breathtaking, it's peaceful and quiet. The dogs enjoyed it immensely, as well as the complimentary snacks! The hiking trails are great. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need - including a new "hut tub"!, as well as an indoor fireplace - ideal for winter. The beds and pillows were wonderfully firm/soft. Good communication throughout. I would highly recommend it and definitely go again. Wonderful - thank you Danielle and Dieter.

Lovely stay with baby and 2 doggies. Nice braai facilities and hot tub. There were a lot of flies though (it being a farm), so advice would be to take insect repellent with.
We had a great time, the surroundings are very peaceful, there are nice walking trails and the fireplaces were lovely.
Lovely time spent there with only the sounds of the birds during the day and frogs at night in front of the braai fire. Would have liked more personal contact upon arrival to know which unit was reserved for us. Felt safe but there was no human movement around us at night. Close to Barrydale and Montagu. Accommodation is animal friendly and our dog thoroughly enjoyed herself. Definitely a place to visit. Come and have a look at the fantastic place in the heart of the Karoo. You will not regret it.

There is a walking trail, and you can walk around the farm to the farm pond yourself. We took our dog with us and she really enjoyed it, especially the treats that were left for her in the house. Thank you very much for the nice weekend.

Lovely off-the-beaten-track place to stay over. We didn't realise it was so far out of Montagu and we didn't prepare for our braai. Was planning to buy salad stuff in Montagu. The hostess was so sweet - she kindly gave us some lovely fresh items from her fridge for us to add to our meat braai. She was a lifesaver as this saved us having to drive to Montagu to shop. Lovely cottage - everything we needed. Quiet and private. Also felt completely safe. Will definitely recommend it for a stop-over to anywhere travelling on the R62.

Wanted to get out of the city, have some quiet time, braai and stay warm. Being able to take long walks with my doggie and friends/family. Also wanted a comfortable stay, clean and easy to get to. This was just perfect. Hosts were super friendly and checking in regularly, which was appreciated.
The owners were very friendly, responsive and accommodating. The road to the farm was in good condition and we had easy access with a small vehicle. The accommodation was spacious and clean. The cottage was enclosed, and with two dogs, it put the pet parents at ease. Morning and afternoon walks were superb and the swim in the farm dam was thoroughly enjoyable.
