Accommodation is offered in 3 rustic tents and a cabin, where guests can enjoy a comfortable bed without the fuss of pitching their own tent. Each tent has 2 single beds or a double bed, a fully equipped kitchenette, an en-suite bathroom, a gas stove and water geyser, and ample braai wood at the external braai facility.
Alternatively, guests can bring their own utensils and equipment for one of the 2 basic, pre-pitched tents located beside a fire pit. These tents have access to communal rustic facilities close by.
The campsite is completely off-grid, with rain-harvested water, solar-powered lighting and water heating, composting toilets, and no fridges or cell phone reception. However, there is fresh air, shade, firewood, and peace and quiet, as well as the odd bug, mosquitos, honey bees, chirping of birds, frogs, baboons, otters, hooting owls, and the odd meandering farm animal to contend with.
There are more than 100 species of birds, including blue cranes, hummingbirds and raptors in the area, as well as Cape clawless otter, Cape fox, scrub hares, Angulate tortoise, grysbok, southern rock agama, bats, and mongooses that share the space with the chickens, sheep and cattle on the farm.
For the adventure-seekers, explore the hectare of ploughed and unploughed fields, little forests and orchards, hike the many trails, hire a horse, or bring your mountain bike. There are various daily excursions in the surrounding area for guests to enjoy. Attend a local art class, a bread-baking course, a Renosterveld conservation tour, bush yoga, or sample some locally distilled Limoncello liquor, Kombucha or farm cooking.

3 guests' feedbackGreat, quiet, peaceful. The site needs time and attention, with a bit of TLC required.
Google Maps was wrong. We got lost, road very bad. After call (first one not answered) host apologized for water situation, we have to take water with us. Someone will meet us at the gate. Directions to the farm terribly inadequate, poor. No one came to meet us. Woman who could not speak English or Afrikaans opened the back door (it was locked) and we assumed she wanted to ride along to show us where to go. She could not communicate a single sentence, only "gate". At 2nd gate we had to enter, on an open ground, no made road. Thorns everywhere until we got to the right tent he signaled "here". When we wanted to call to say we were safe there, there was no phone reception. Then we walked up to the hill to get reception. The folding camping chair we had to use outside was broken. Most of the solar lamps did not work. Bathroom water did not run. Shower was freezing cold in the evening as well as in the morning. So solar heating did not work. Our bed was comfortable and luckily there was a loose sheet that we could use with the sleeping bags. There were no towels. Perhaps we have not read everything carefully in connection with this facility. But it didn't live up to my expectations. No wooden board, sharp knife etc. for self-catering, but we managed and had a nice barbecue ourselves.
Felt so good to be in nature, saw some animals. Perfect for a getaway with friends and loved ones. Easy to locate as well!
