Our stay at Xamarin Guest Farm was an exceptional experience for our group of eight, comprised of three separate families and a 12-year-old child. The serene atmosphere and impeccable cleanliness of the place left us thoroughly impressed. It offered a peaceful and tranquil environment that we absolutely loved. We will be back.
What an amazing place away from the busy city. Surrounded by beautiful geological rock formations and farms at large, and top-notch restaurants and pubs, etc.

Thank you very much, we had a great time relaxing. It is a spacious cottage on a working farm, yet the silence can be enjoyed. Many thanks to our hostess, for all her help, especially moving mountains on a Saturday afternoon to restore the TV signal. Bird watchers will really enjoy the great variety, right up to quail. Also the proximity of Bird Island at Lamberts Bay. However, WiFi or a better mobile phone signal would have been very handy to be able to study the flower web page, among other things.
Enjoyed our stay. It was perfect. Loved our surroundings and how peaceful and quiet it was.
The unit was generally well equipped and tidy. The bathroom could do with a little extra cleaning/renovation; silicone seals in the shower are yellow and mouldy, and the toilet seat is chipped.

Springbok house is very spacious and comfortable. Double bed a bit hollow and you keep rolling inwards.

My family and I really enjoyed our weekend here. It's peaceful, accommodation was clean and tidy, outside it was sunny and beautiful. My love and I took a nice walk. We wanted to stay another day longer, that's how nice it was and far away from the town's happenings. It was necessary and it was heavenly. We will be happy to visit again. We used the Peacock cottage. What a nice weekend. The reception arrangements were given early on with all the necessary details for our arrival. We were even informed about the area's loadshedding which was a bonus. First night's sunset was something to experience, the peacocks come to your cottage every afternoon and morning, we even had some sheep with their lambs come to say hello. Our children, 7 and 9, were able to ride their push/kick bikes on the cement road and explore the farm a bit. Had a nice barbecue on our porch and watched the stars the first night. The sunrise was just as beautiful. There was also a letter on the table upon our arrival with all the necessary numbers for the town. Restaurants details and emergency numbers which were fantastic. Minette had been very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much Minette. We will definitely stay there again in the future. We are already talking about organizing a friends trip. The accommodation is 5 km outside Lamberts Bay directly opposite Jackal Creek. You see the beautiful estate and the sea from your porch and are safe. Jackal Creek itself has a nice golf course which we will use next time and is walking distance from accommodation. We could also buy wood there instead of having to drive to town.

Our stay was overnight but we enjoy our stay its was clean and fresh. Was excited to be greeted by a peacock hence the cottage is named the peacock. It was so peaceful and quiet. We had easy access in and out. Loved the views. Highly recommended.

We liked the no frills amenities and decorations. Place was neat and clean and had everything we needed. The visits from the peacocks were a bonus. You see the most beautiful sunsets from the zebra and horse stables. Lambertsbaai is close enough to buy something if you need something. Gravity didn't bother us because we had candles.

We had to wash plates, bowls, cups - everything to use! The dirt was clearly visible. Grease on plates, coffee still stuck to the bottom of cups from half washing. Lots of spiders! We didn't even want to fall asleep, it was that bad! Neglected.
We stayed in zebra stable. Delicious indoor barbecue. Everything we needed. My 3 year old daughter played with the peacock and fed bread. We were across the road at Uncle Joos' farm Kookfontein for a nice wine tour. Panorama park is also within walking distance. Was very nice.

We slept well on the farm and the peacocks were good company. During our trip, the two of us spent the night there.
We had a great stay at Xamarin. The unit was neat, clean and very spacious with everything you need. The decor in neat and homely. The hostess is friendly and very helpful. It also meant a lot to us that they pay attention to Covid regulations. Lovely farm atmosphere and the Peacocks were a pleasant added bonus for the children. The farm is also located nice and close to the town, and restaurants. The access control and secure parking are always a plus for holidaymakers.
The advantage of Xamarin is you are not stuck in the busy Lambertsbaai. It is the benefit of two worlds by staying on a farm at a better price and still seeing the sea. The location is also literally 7 minutes drive from town. The farm atmosphere and tranquility is the winner.
We will definitely stay here again in the future.
There was a slight smell that could possibly be caturine, otherwise the stay was quite pleasant.
I was pleasantly surprised with what we got at a price of only R700. The location on a farm among vineyards gives the place a nice atmosphere, and the sea on the horizon adds to an overall satisfying experience.
The view, peacefulness and setup in general are fantastic - only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer. Even though you never feel unsafe, we are from Gauteng and are focused on maximum safety - maybe put a safety gate by the front door without impacting the character. Thank you!
Comfortable spacious rooms. Two bathrooms are a bonus. Braai facilities are unfortunately unmaintained. Had to clean the area myself.
We were a tour group of 8 using 2 units. Enough space and the indoor grill worked very well. We missed soap in the bathrooms. After a long journey, we first had to unpack suitcases for soap before we could wash our hands.
Ons het primer hierdie verblyf bespreek omdat dit regtig naby aan die Bosduifklip geleë is. Dit was basies met die nodige beskikbaar. Onthou egter om jou eie melk saam te neem, siende dat daar koffie en tee beskikbaar was, maar geen melk. Ook is al die nodige beskikbaar in Lambertsbaai. Die naam van die verblyf, "Peacock House", is inderdaad so met heelwat poue wat rondom die huisie woon. Met gevolg dat hulle ook gereeld hulle besigheid op die stoep en stoep se tafel kom doen het, wat minder aangenaam was.
Everything was home - although the lounge set is particularly uncomfortable, we still enjoyed it! A tong would be quite a big help (the rest of the equipment perfect), and furthermore a hand sanitizer in the bathroom would have helped a lot (there was no sanitizer or soap); and there was also only half a roll of toilet paper. The place is beautiful and perfect - it just needs a direct hand to throw a final eye sometimes, but highly recommended, it is beautiful.
Door lock gets stuck - difficult to lock. Only half a roll of toilet paper for 3 people over 2+ days. No shower caddy. Hooks for towels are not enough.
We would love to visit again in flower time. The house is nicely centrally located.

Would have been nice if the fireplace inside was usable. Very nice area and could definitely stay longer there. It would be good if a schedule could be given in advance of when water pumps are off so that one does not accidentally stand in the shower and then there is no water. Furthermore, everything was very convenient and of high quality for us. Sufficient space for 4 adults. Might also consider heater panels on walls (this is just a suggestion).

The Whatsapp was a good idea to reach the destination. The bedding and towels were clean and tidy. There is sufficient cutlery and the fridge was well used by us. Maybe just one suggestion: a bigger and hairier rug at the front door to prevent people from stepping sand into the house.
The farm quiet was just what we needed for a short break.

What a gem of a place! We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the cottage and everything was so nice and clean. The unit is very well equipped with everything you need and you can just sink into the comfortable sofas and immediately relax. Xamarin Guest Farm is a working wine farm and we had a lovely stay in the Zebra Perdestal. John met us on arrival and promptly introduced us to to a bottle of Sir Lambert's wine. We only stayed one night but would gladly have made it our base for a longer stay in the area. It is different, beautiful and peaceful.
Our time on the farm was amazing. It's peaceful and in nature. I will definitely use it again and recommend it to others.
Had a great stay at Xamarin Guest Farm. It is very close to Bosduifklip, which is a wedding venue. Minette communicated with us regularly and the place to stay was clean, tidy and very spacious. Would definitely recommend it to people who need to visit Lambertsbaai or Bosduifklip.
Warm sheets in winter and blanket for each bed would be good.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Xamarin, nestled in the vineyards. We were there for a wedding and it was a perfect place to stay. Minette was very helpful and friendly and gave us a better room without us asking. Everything you need for a restful stay in Lambert's Bay.

Absolutely breathtaking view from our bedroom window. It was like a breath of fresh air, away from the hustle of the city life. If you ever need to clear your mind, this is the ideal place. Everything was neat and tidy and ready for us. It takes one back to a different era. Our stay was to short, but next time it will definitely be for longer. Peaceful area, sheep bleating in the vineyards and peacocks strutting around the house. Comfortable accommodation, rustic, but neat, and clean and equipped with everything you need. Despite phone call before we arrived cleaners were still busy at 16:30 when we arrived, so we had to wait a while. We were told braai wood would be provided, but when we arrived we were told this isn't done anymore because people load their cars full of wood and leave. But the accommodation isn't far from Lambertsbaai so you can buy wood there, provided you show up before closing time.
Was very happy, nice stay, very clean! Would have enjoyed room service - more toilet paper and more towels! Would have appreciated being able to lock doors.
Unfortunately Xamarin was absolutely shocking! I did not sleep over as it was so unacceptable. I am waiting for money to be paid back like Minette told me. The shower was blocked and I had to remove foul-smelling garbage from the drain in order to get the water to flow. The toilet was probably cleaned 7 years ago en it was foul-smelling, the pieces broke off while being used. Guesthouses usually provide face towels as well as bath towels, only received bath towel. The only access to second bedroom was through the main bedroom, which wasn't mentioned and not according to regulations. I'm sure no guest wants to use chipped mugs? There were only 2 chairs provided outside by the braai? Photos can be provided on request.
There were problems with the toilet which we brought to the owner's attention, but nothing was done about it. The remote for the TV was stolen, but nothing was done to replace it.
