I was pleasantly surprised to find such a beautiful gem on the outskirts of the Garden Route. We were warmly welcomed and certainly felt at home there. I wish we could have stayed a few more days longer. Please enquire about the alternative route to get to the facilities, as one has to use a gravel road for a few kilometers. Unfortunately, Google Maps takes you on the longer route.
The atmosphere was good.
The holiday spot is approximately 40 km from Hartenbos. (It's not in Mossel Bay at all).
The facilities are great, service excellent and accommodating.
Although this facility is not part of the Wildlife farm it surely gives you that feeling when you take the first coffee with the view of animals in the mountains, it is breathtaking, and some times you find them next to the fence on your way out. The facility is neat and your day to day needs is catered for. It is not too far from Groot Brak for shopping, swimming and a lot of fun. Even other beaches are in reach from Yellow Woods Camps & Conference. I can just suggest that they put fans in the rooms as it is extremely hot.
The whole place was neat and well maintained. The room was very comfortable and tidy. They sell basic necessities and their prices is really reasonable. The children enjoyed the pools. The host was friendly and helpful. I will definitely recommend the place. Its a 8 sleeper room, I would suggest during the festive season, maybe change some rooms to a 6 sleeper room. Remove one bunk bed and install a small kitchen with small bar fridge, microwave, kettle and a table to work on. The only downside is the gravel road, which is in good condition though but it can be a far drive if you opt for the shorter gravel road.
We had a very nice stay. We were able to view various species of wildlife from the deck at our unit every day. Very peaceful atmosphere for someone who wants to switch off a bit from the hectic life. Friendly reception and hospitable staff. Clean and tidy. Only 30 km from Hartenbos and we could still go to the sea every day. Will definitely stay there again.

Family enjoyed the stay. The opportunity to live close to nature and see the wildlife for free is a bonus point.

We couldn't get better for the price we paid. We also had a nice breakfast, rooms and bathrooms are excellently clean.
If you like the camp experience then you must go to this accommodation. It's closed off from everything and everyone so you can relax. The wild animals are a plus. The only negative is the dirt road. Everyone hung out at the braai area and made new friends. I will go again.
