A great place to sleepover, right on the N1. The place was clean and reception was warm and friendly.

It was very pleasant.
For a quick overnight stay it was perfect. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I love the kitty cats that welcomed us. The only thing I need to add is that I think that place is haunted. Our plastic container fell off the table for no reason. The bathroom door closed by itself and my daughter fought in her sleep. It was a bit scary, but other than that, it was perfect for our quick stop to rest before hitting the road again to Cape Town.

We literally had no sleep. Was scared to death. There was someone screaming for help in the street. Every 5 to 10 minutes we heard another truck. Drunk people in the street and fearing for our lives when we wanted to buy food. Would not recommend it at all.

Daar was geen koffie, tee of enige iets in kamers soos wat hulle sê daar sal wees. Kamers was redelik skoon maar komberse was vuil. Geen water gehad die volgende oggend om te stort of tande te borsel. Ons het uit nood daar geslaap nadat die plek wat ons 3 weke tevore geboek het en betaal bet ons op 99 gedrop het oor hulle goed belowe het wat hulle nie kon bybring so vir wat ons op 99 kon kry was ons tevrede.
We will not visit here again, it is not suitable for small children and pets. The photo on the website of the garden and play area does not exist, there is only a small lawn right in front of two of the rooms. It feels awkward to visit the garden when there are people living right in front of the garden. There was also a huge pile of shaved garbage bags right next to the garden. The pool was dirty and therefore could not use it in the 38 degree hot day. The room is tiny and cramped for a family with two small children and dogs, the fans don't help at all either. I would suggest you get aircon in the place. I booked a room with a bath but got a room with a shower so difficult with small children. The website indicates free WiFi but the internet is limited, only 250 mb. We checked in at 14:00 in the afternoon and the restaurant was not open, so we could not order anything. There is a gas station opposite the guest house, it looks like a stop for all the taxis. It is terribly noisy and it feels unsafe to visit the shop there. The room's kitchen does not have everything you need, there were no plates, bowls or cutlery. The noise in the evening from the big trucks passing by or the noise of taxi music at night was very disturbing, the double bed's mattress has already been slept through, it feels like you are lying in a cavity.

I would only recommend that you pay more attention to cleanliness, for example dusting and wiping. It's a bit tight for a family of 4, but it didn't bother us that much because we only stayed one night. Bathroom and bedding clean and tidy. Reception and staff very friendly.
Not what I expected.
There was a group of people coming in, chatting and fighting in front of our bedroom window and shouting. Before 3 came knocking on our door. It really wasn't a pleasure. No one even came to try to silence. No, we wanted to rest to drive again early next morning, but it would have been better for us to drive through. We really wasted our money.

The room is very crowded, but all you need for a sleep over. The room was very neat and the place is very safe. The staff very helpful.
Perfect for a quick family sleepover on the way to the Cape! Arrived after 9pm. The smell of detergents was prominent when the door was opened. Good first impression! Specifically looked at the window handle and locking mechanism. And Yes, it was polished bright! If you are looking for a bed, bath and kettle for one night's sleepover this is perfect. Might be disturbing for people looking for absolute silence. Although our room was almost right on the main road, it still didn't bother us at all. Would definitely recommend.

We found the accommodation to be very comfortable, clean and neat. For one night we were very impressed. The staff was very helpful.
No coffee or tea in rooms and had to collect from reception. No tea available. Rooms fantastic, beautiful, clean and tidy. It was lovely to spend the night there. Safe behind a high fence. Very peaceful place and one would not think you are on the main street of Beaufort West. The fact that there is a restaurant with good breakfast and coffee on site was the icing on the cake. Ensure that coffee and tea and stir sticks are available in each bag in the room and or as soon as a person checks in.
A few things on the 5 sleeper unit we were in, can be upgraded. The shower head just run like a normal tap, no sprinkler type water running. A mini kitchen can be made available with maybe a 2 plate stove, especially for those staying for more than 3 days. I will gladly pay more if this facility should be upgraded a bit and aircons installed.
When we got there on Friday night, they had no knowledge of our reservation. I had to go back on my emails to prove that booking was done and deposit paid a long time ago. It was very uncomfortable and they then had to search around and call around and make moves to be able to give us a room. I don't know who or where the problem was?

Basic accommodation for the price range. The environment is not very safe although the accommodation is quite safe. Would not recommend for families as it seems there are quite a few contractors staying overnight. They can certainly not provide just one coffee/tea, as one would like to enjoy a coffee on arrival and also the next morning. The pictures on their web page are extremely misleading. Upon our arrival it was clear that our names were not even recorded in their register. There was a clear reservation for 2 single rooms and 1 double room. The two singles had to sleep in family rooms. There is a picture of a beautiful garden, but there is no such thing. The pool was completely empty, that's understandable because of the water condition, but at least visitors should be forewarned. The misty fan in the room did not work. The absolute noise in the street in front of the place is a big reason why I would advise anyone who wants to rest to use the place. The noise continues all night. As Gautenians, we felt very unsafe because of the hustle and bustle in the street and with a gate that anyone can open. The website says there is WiFi, this is very misleading as it can only be used if you are sitting in the restaurant. No WiFi in the rooms. No covers for your vehicle, your vehicle is in +- 42 C and if you have to drive in the day your vehicle is unbearably hot. No what, never again. It's not worth the money.
It was the first time we used such overnight facilities. It was wonderful to be received so friendly and helpful. It's an absolute plus that it's also pet-friendly. We slept great with no disturbing noises. We could rest well. It is also very convenient that you have 24 hour reception staff.

Young's is ideal for people travelling with their pets. Second time we stayed there. Just one tip: We recommend Pizza World, their contact details are in every room, they deliver and the pizzas are divine.

Upon arrival we were warmly received by a lady who showed us to our room and made sure everything was in order. Room was clean and neat and well equipped for an overnight stay. Would definitely make use of Young's Halfway again, but would just remember to buy milk for coffee.

Pet friendly, clean, friendly reception but the one bedroom unit is way too small to accommodate 5 people. There is no space to move around in the room. You sit on your bed and basta. My son became claustrophobic and went to sleep in the car. Not nice to pay for a bed and then sleep in the car. I was not very happy.

It was very neat and clean. The service was friendly and helpful. The security of the car was good because it was behind a gate. The security is very good. They don't let strangers in. I would definitely recommend it as a stopover for students who still have to travel far. Location is very good and could find it easily.
The unit was neat and clean. Well equipped to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. Would just have preferred it if the bathroom had a shower too, and not just a bath. Breakfast was friendly and the people helpful. Inside the complex it is neat and the swimming pool is a big bonus.
It is definitely a safe place for children. Would have liked the playing area to be updated a bit. the spesific room we slept in was very hot and they unfortunately didn't have aircon. They did have a fan. Shower's water pressure is also not sufficient.

Ontvangs was goed en alhoewel die kamer skoon en netjies was, was die temperatuur teen 16:00 42 °C! Met geen lugversorging in die klein kamertjie nie, was dit absoluut hel om te probeer slaap. Die waaier wat daar was het niks gehelp nie en net die warm lug op ons geblaas. Hulle kan eerder die yskas uithaal en lugversorging insit en die prys bietjie verhoog. Ons was op die punt om te ry om ander blyplek te soek en het so vroeg ons kan die volgende oggend gery. Ons moes die handdoeke natmaak om onder dit te slaap, want dit was net te ongelooflik warm. Hulle sal ons nooit weer sien nie tensy daar lugversorging ingesit word!
