What is not said is that the place is located next to several other units, so you kind of lose the feeling of the forest. The pool in the photo is not the pool at the cottage. Furthermore, the unit is equipped with the basics.

When we arrived at Zebra Cottage, we were not sure where the unit was where we had to stay, Zebra Cottage sign was small and not well visible, so we drove to the owner's entrance where the house number was well marked. It was not a good first impression because the cleanliness of the yard and surroundings. We did get hold of the owner and he showed us where to park and where the unit is. Upon arrival in the unit, the unit was not prepped, refrigerators were hot, fans were off, power kept tripping, pool water was not clean, aircon power cords were not well sealed, overhead shower water pressure was not correct due to limescale in the shower head and bathroom fixtures in the lower bathroom such as the towel rail were loose, the upper bathroom's toilet roll holder was not there at all. We were able to arrange with the owner that they fix the power and also clean the pool water. Beyond the above, we always enjoy the wildlife and atmosphere in Marloth.
No toilet paper, main bedroom bed without any bedding, sheets available, no pillowcases. Bed upstairs with curtains found falling off, other bed broken mirror and packet of condoms. Braai place not clean, braai tongs found unwashed next to braai. Male owner was very helpful, got there later in the afternoon. Brought bedding from other unit. We also helped with fire lighting. Very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much.
Not good. They don't have back-up electricity and the fridge is too small.
Koos was a real host and even brought us ice cream! The animals are around you, it's wonderful.
What a beautiful little gem nestled in Martloth. Everything we needed was right there and the pool a blessing during the exceptionally warm days. Our family enjoyed the stay and the owners are friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the wildlife that frequented the cottage in the mornings and evenings. The cottage was clean and the beds exceptionally comfortable. We will be returning. We saw so many animals in Marloth Park as well. The children loved taking wildlife pictures. My father enjoyed the visit very much as he could access all the amenities on the ground level. the braai area is stocked with everything you need. There were ample fans and aircon in the house.

We actually just slept and showered there, very comfortable and good for our purposes. The water pressure in the showers is just very weak, to the point that we had trouble showering. There was hardly any water.
The indoor hangout area is somewhat small for groups larger than 4 although it offers sleeping space for six adults and a child. The outside hangout area is available but will not work for a larger group if there is bad weather. It is indeed a very nice place to visit for a family.
This is exactly what we needed: a place to sleep, a barbecue area and a swimming pool where you can escape from the heat after a nice, long and hot day in the Wildtuin. And the short walk to the river is a win!

What a pleasant surprise! Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He even came to show our grandchildren where to look for the night monkeys. The "cottage" has everything you need for a wonderful break. We had a great time relaxing. Our grandchildren were ecstatic about the wildlife that came to visit. We would definitely book at Zebra Cottage again and recommend it to anyone.
We had a great time in your cottage. Everything needed was there. Thank you for your concern and consideration Erica & Koos, we truly felt welcome and at home. The animals coming to the house was a celebration for everyone and we took home the most wonderful memories and photos. Will definitely come again and also recommend to all our family and friends.
Service was great and the people were really considerate, really enjoyed it and will definitely book at Zebra Cottage again because we were treated with a lot of respect and we felt at home. Absolutely the best place, I can honestly say one of the best places.
No storage space fo clothes, no cupboard or shelf. When we queried this Ericka told us they removed the cupboard because no one was using it, so you have to live out of your suitcase for 4 days. No private splash pool, but we were given access to the pool at the main house. The next day there were people and we didn't want to invade their privacy. The lounge is not big enough for 6 people.
