"Plumbing issues in all units."

Leaking toilets, non-flushing toilet, broken taps, broken toilet seat. Leaking fridge. The ice maker not working. No coffee plunger. Clean, crockery and utensils well equipped. Well serviced and friendly staff.

"Very poor customer service and cleaning."

The house was nice, however the customer service was very poor and also the cleaning lady did not was not there to clean for the 3 nights that we’d stayed there we didn’t even get clean towels daily.

"Very big disappointment."

The description of the accommodation on the website is totally misleading. The website describes the accommodation as follows: "Accommodation is available in 2 self-catering cottages with sleeping accommodation for 12 guests. There is a recreation area and a swimming pool with a net." However, what is not said is the problem. The living area and kitchen are attached to a large residential house which is not at the tenant's disposal. You may not even use the front door and have to walk around the house to get to the accommodation. The website further claims that: "The kitchen is fully equipped". It is simply not so. Our group consisted of 12 people (the house is advertised for 12 people). There were 2 teaspoons, no coffee mugs, 4 tea cups, no braai tray, no dish towels. The fridge is far too small to cool or keep 12 people's food and drink. There was no toilet paper (when we asked we were given two rolls for the weekend). The maid is grumpy and sits in the main house (right next to the lounge area and pool) watching TV all day. We had to listen to football and charismatic church services. When we used coffee mugs from the main house's kitchen the owner immediately called (the maid called him) to complain about this. On Thursday, after struggling to convince the maid to let us use the fridge in the main house, the agent called me back. During this conversation I was told that I had not booked the house and that my current position was not hers. No independent person reading the website ad would know about the main house. The photos also do not show the main house at all. On the contrary, the photo of the swimming pool and the lapa/boma was deliberately taken from the side of the main house so that the house cannot be seen. I would not have made the reservation if I had been aware of the main house. Tenants feel like guests.

Particularly neat, well equipped. Appreciated the cleaning service. Had a great time. Definitely come again.

"Disappointing!"

The rooms are beautiful, but there were no linens on the beds in the one loft above. There was no toilet paper, we had to ask for it. There was milk in an ordinary washed out jam bottle. The biggest problem was a total lack of privacy. The owner's residence forms part of the two sleeping units. It is not as advertised which creates a false impression when booking. The boma area, pool and main kitchen are adjacent to the owner's residence which creates an awkwardness / lack of privacy. The owner's porch overlooks the boma and braai area which once again created a feeling of awkwardness. We could not move freely there because we felt we were invading the owner's privacy. The cleaner of the unit was sitting in the kitchen/living room area one night watching TV which again invaded our privacy. In terms of the location and the cleanliness there was no problem, but it did not make up for the inconvenience we had to endure in terms of lack of privacy.
