For the chalet I will put in better kitchen equipment. Rusted and chipped. Also a daily cleaning service.
We experienced inconveniences, but I called the reservation agent on Monday, March 27, 2023 and discussed this with her. I am sure that she would take this up with the management and thus ensure that future guests will not experience the same inconvenience.
The restaurant was fantastic but the room isn't so great - needs some work as it seems a bit old and a bit unkempt.
Everything is perfect, but is too expensive.
The phone in the room was not working and they did not inform us about the code for the alarm. We had to drive back to reception, but the staff was apologetic and helpful.
After a warm welcome I was taken to my luxurious room with a luxurious bathroom. The wine tasting was with compliments of the estate. Breakfast is served briskly. Meals at the Manor are of high quality. The surroundings are beautiful and we went for a lovely walk of four kilometers on the estate. It is difficult to watch the TV shows. The TV is not aligned with any seat! It was/is a mystery.
The layout and privacy help an awful lot. Close to everything and the getaway makes it so easy, but can still baby everything.
This is an old favorite for the last 20 years that we visit more than once a year.

Room was spotless. View of Cape lights breathtaking. Bed wonderfully large and comfortable. And breakfast was delicious!

Sorry for my negative review, but I am disappointed. For the price we paid for the cottage, I expected much more. I compared it to other places we've stayed, which were cheaper and it seems like you're paying more for the name than anything else. From the cottage you don't look over the Cape valley or at Table Mountain in the distance, but rather into the wall of the farm workers' houses. The kitchen has a stove, but nothing else to cook with, so it's a bit pointless for me. There are only glasses, mugs, plates and the basic cutlery. Decoration inside cottage very basic and standard, while one bed's fitted sheet had coffee stains on it (I hope). The restaurant is something completely different: delicious breakfast although "hot" food was already cold at 08:20. The menu doesn't have much variety either. The scenery around the restaurant is of course from another world, it was just the highlight of our stay there. But I must also say that the staff at the restaurant are very friendly and warm, they made us feel very welcome.
As we were attending a family wedding on a neighbouring farm this accommodation seemed perfect for us, 3 couples and 2 children. However we found the chalet not to be well managed. Basics like batteries for the TV remote and dishcloths were missing and no salt and pepper, heaters were broken, lights tripped and there was water dripping from the ceiling and the small dustbin and the large one outside were overflowing with litter from previous visits. It is the most beautiful setting and has so much potential but is just shockingly run. There were also rat traps lying around. We were disappointed.

Felt very at home and welcome. Unit was neat, with a free bottle of wine and wine tasting included. TV channels not as per the information booklet, but with everything in the area to do it didn't bother me much.
